"In January of 2020, we made reservations to spend 3 nights at Rush Creek Lodge at Yosemite and visit Yosemite National Park using our lifetime senior citizen National Park pass. A week prior to our trip, we discovered that we couldn't visit Yosemite w/o a special pass due to COVID, thus, we had to cancel our reservation. When they verified our reservation by email, they failed to tell us about the COVID special pass needed to enter the park. When we had to cancel our reservation due to the COVID restrictions, they refused to refund our deposit, thus, they charged us almost $500 for a room in which we were restricted from staying. Their name, Rush Creek Lodge "at Yosemite" implies that they are located WITHIN the National Park. If that had been the case, then we would have been allowed to enter the park with the reservations for lodging within the park. They are NOT within the park, but rather, are located 1 mile OUTSIDE the park.
They should have refunded the deposit to us! Shame on them for taking advantage of senior citizens like that!"
