I liked the location. Just down the road from town, but not in town. Pretty quiet as well. The continental breakfast was very good and the staff was nice. I loved the restaurant on the premises too - Great food and service. I will stay here again next time I visit.

Nice town. Reception was friendly. Hot tub broke, pool was outdoors and suppose to be heated and was barely 60 some degrees. Fairly clean but toilet seats not same size of toilet, awkward. Breakfast fair and free. Al together was good and fairly pleasant.

Nice large room with very comfortable pillows. The farmer Brothers coffee that came with the in room coffee makers was superb, and the complimentary continental breakfast was great!

not satisfied

Room was soooo small could hardly walk around in it. Fridge did not fit into its console. Shower did not drain .Airconditioner directly next to bed ; have to turn it off and on . Light bulb out over console was out . 199. Per night plus tax is an insult. Very disappointed with Travelosity’ s recommendation .

Near downtown Mariposa, CA

Pros: An above average complimentary breakfast is provided in the lobby area each morning from 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m..
Cons: All indications point to the condition of the guest rooms trending downward. The management needs to address this before time passes this hotel by.
Location: Mariposa is small, but rich in California Gold Rush history from 1849 and beyond. Visit the courthouse, the Catholic church (both 1860's) and museum.
First time in Mariposa, CA. Hotel booked based on room rate and general facility description. Overall "okay", but not great. Friendly staff. Grounds and pool area well maintained, but rooms would benefit from deep cleaning, are overdue for general remodeling, and are weak on placement of convenient electrical outlets for personal devices. Only place to sit other than beds are two hard straight back chairs that were not comfortable. Bath soaps small and don't last. Toilet paper shreds when torn off roll. All this would still be tolerable if not for leaking wall mounted air conditioner constantly dripping water on carpet while in use. Trash basket was placed beneath air conditioner during entire stay. Logical to assume this had been problematic for some time without being addressed by staff. Noise of drip was annoying, so air conditioner was turned off to sleep, but room then began to heat up and become stuffy. Other concern was for potential mold in air since carpet was saturated under air conditioner within small area, though we can't say mold was actually an issue. Would not stay at this hotel again because a lot of other choices exist within the small downtown area. The town of Mariposa is very pleasant and scenery is beautiful. Much history to see in town, with Yosemite about an hour away.

Great breakfast, and a jacuzzi!

We stayed in the Fremont wing of the motel. You could tell that the rooms were old, but for the most part the upgrades that they did were fine. The bathroom could use an upgrade still. But the carpet was new, there was a mini fridge and a new TV as well. For a self-service set up, the breakfast was excellent. There were machines to make your own waffles and pancakes, plus doughnuts, several types of breads, hard boiled eggs, and coffee and juices.

My Overnight at 49er Motel

Pros: It was very clean and the beds were comfortable.
Cons: Better drapes.
Location: The town has some cute little shops and quite a few restaurants. I had gone on line prior to arrival and read about Sauvouy (sp ?)which was wonderful
Since I used to live in this area, I knew where the motel was from the address but was rather surprised when I saw the name because it didn't look like the pictures on the internet. The registration office was rather cluttered looking and because of this I wondered if I was at the correct place. The pictures are of an area outside one end of the motel but the image upon arrival is anything but that. The room was comfortable and quiet but the drapes were cheap and didn't actually keep the light from outside from coming in at the ends of the drapes.
