"Right in the middle of everything, love the charm!"
My family stays here all the time! Mammoth is great in the Winter, but Summer is our favorite time of year. The Alpenhof is located right in the middle of restaurants, shops, events and across the street from the gondola. It has our two favorite places to eat and drink on site: the Clocktower and Petra's Bistro, and we love the European charm :) The staff is super friendly and the rooms are very clean and comfy.

"Great Value... Good Location"
What more do you need for a quick ski vacation than a clean room, convenient location and great staff? At Sierra Nevada, you'll find all those things. It's no luxury resort, but it gets the job done at a great price. What was truly exceptional was that the hotel was able to accommodate and early check-in since we arrived at 830a.

"Great location"
Elizabeth Roots, the staff person at the front desk was extraordinary. Because of her extreme interest that we have a great stay, she unwittingly is a one woman marketing machine. Whatever she is paid is not nearly enough for the value she provides to the property. Though other properties are newer or upgraded, I will stay here again and recommend to all. Elizabeth deserves a promotion. I am not a family or friend of hers as I write this review, just an objective traveller of some experience.

"Very good, friendly, curtious staff/service!"
Even though our stay started off not so desirable for a vacation, the staff and management went above and beyond to make things right. They reverse charges for one night stay and provided a complementary pass for 2 to a near by athletihic club/spa. The service was exceptional... Staff as well as the manager knew us in person, knew our names and assisted us in any way they could, provided the best service anyone could wish for. The hotel is old, but the owners/management has been updating it. Nice decor, clean bathrooms, nice bedding/robes. The spa area is very pleasant with hot spa tub, steam and sauna, nice rocking recliner for two... complimentary private shuttle and breakfast! Lobby offers fireplace and cozy seating area, with hot coffee, hot chocolate or teas..,, upstairs there is another seating room that is cozy and private, that leads to loft. Guest can enjoy a game of billiard..I will decently stay here again in the future!

"close to slopes.."
This was my first visit and experience of Mammoth Inn on Tuesday, December, 15, 2015. I did not know the layout of the property so when I got there, I parked in the wrong lot. It was dark from traveling all day. Check in was easy but had my suspicions on their policys. We prepaid for the room and they still asked for the credit card. I showed them the bank draft instead. Room 822 @ the Yodler house had minor issues..

"Cozy with a lake view"
The staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. The lodge has a cozy feel to it with a large fireplace in the lobby. I had a lodge room with a shared bathroom. The lodge rooms are a little outdated and small but clean. The bathroom was clean and close by. The location of the lodge is beautiful just across from Twin Lakes. The lodge also has a restaurant with good food so no need to drive back down into town. Will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is getting on in age, but if you look for the special rates, it is a pretty good deal. And having an indoor jacuzzi during winter after skiing is a necessity!

"Nice Hotel"
We're staying to ski. Very convenient, walking to the Canyon Lodge. Staff's are polite. Room is adequately equipped and clean. Flat TV with a DVD player makes my kids happy to watch 3 movies. Continental breakfast is good, even no sausage, bacon or fried eggs are served.
