The hotel is located at the base of the ski area and is close to area shops and restaurants. It is surrounded by beautiful forest. The rooms are well decorated and have all the amenities for a long stay. The pool and hot tub area is very nice and parking is located under the property, which made it very easy to come and go during our stay.

Avoid in summer moths

They need to advertise that the Hotel does not have air conditioning. At check in you receive a document on “How to stay cool”. Looks like a great place to stay in the winter,but do not stay in summer months if you want to sleep well. Bed also felt like I was sleeping on the floor. Very hard.

Beautiful and convenient location. Front desk was very helpful and efficient. My room had wires hanging out of the tv and wasnt functioning. Called and got that taken care of. Id asked for housekeeping daily but only had service one day out of the five i was there. I was told by the desk that there was only one housekeeper for the complex and to be patient. The one day i did get service, she came at 6:00 pm. Im not sure if its a normal situation or just a temporary shortage of housekeepers.

Absolutely love Juniper Springs! This is my 3rd time booking this hotel. I’ve never been disappointed. Definitely returning again. Each unit is individually owned so now two look a like decor wise. My favorite hotel in Mammoth Lakes.

avoid sunstone building. demand to stay in juniper

First time staying and didn't know better. Was told I was being put in their neighbor building (Sunstone). Was told it's the better building. Don't accept it. Outdated. Pool not heated. stove was about the fall apart and was uneven. Coils of the stove were bent. Kitchen knives were chipped. bathroom/shower very outdated compared to the pics. Maybe it was room 205, but went to the juniper building for the pool and jacuzzi. wish we had a better kitchen and shower.

Beautiful view from the rooms if you are on the west side facing the mountains. Property is well maintained. First person that checked us in didn't listen to our requests and assigned us to a loud room due to people in the pool. Second person was incredibly nice. This property DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING. I don't see any mention of this in the booking information. Staying here in the summer has its challenges and is not very convenient to food and entertainment. Was disappointed with the cafe's prices, felt like I was being gouged again because of the location. Sorry to say, I won't be coming back here.

Please be aware that not all of the advertised pools and hot tubs are accessible to all guests. During our stay, we were only allowed to use one pool and one hot tub located near our building. Management informed us that, due to HOA regulations, we were not permitted to access any of the other facilities. These restrictions were not mentioned in the hotel listing on Hotels.com, and had I known, I would have considered other accommodations. Additionally, the room felt quite dated and is in need of a new carpet.
