The room itself was very clean but did have a distinct dill pickle smell that hit us every time we walked in, but tolerable. The view of the river was amazing & us and our dog enjoyed the patio overlooking the river! We liked the pizza place on the property and the game room was lots of fun! Only reason we did not give 5 stars is because the hot tub closest to our room was empty and the game room needs some TLC. While it was still fun for my 5 year old, the skii ball wasn't plugged in or turned on to keep score, the shuffleboard needed more sand, the air hockey had to be finagled to turn on and the race car game and a couple others were out of order. But it did keep my son entertained for a couple hours! Also had corn hole, ping pong and a room for board/card games, tons of options! Overall it was a great stay and very close to Yosemite! Highly recommend!

Great location, rooms are clean and spacious. It’s an old hotel, I was lucky and got upgraded to one of the remodeled rooms which made our stay so much pleasant. Dinner options are very limited and they stick a surge charge for a salad bar that let a lot to be desired.

The location is fantastic. You can't stay anywhere closer to the park unless you stayed in the park. The staff was excellent, very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I booked a first floor, king room, on the river. Our room was good. The bed was ok the first night as I was exhausted but by night #3 I was ready to sleep in my own bed. Bring your own pillows, these were not great! The bathroom was big with a jacuzzi tub, double shower heads and a window. Very clean. We weren't as prepared as we should've been. It didn't occur to me that there are not a lot of options for dining. Next time we will bring food we can heat up for the ease of it. There was a 2 burner stove top, microwave, dishes for 2 and a small refrig. There is a restaurant on site that is open for breakfast and dinner. Dining options in the park are limited too. We did have a decent pizza in Curry Village. Lunch at the Awahnee was scrumptious. I had the Monte Cristo, my husband had a burger and the french onion soup was like nothing we have ever had before, outstanding. We will definitely be going back to Yosemite next Fall and will stay here again
