“I stayed here for 5 days and it was such a peaceful escape. The room was spotless, super quiet, and waking up to this view every morning was pure magic. It'a VERY charming property in the middle of the woods with welcoming staff and fun amenities, especially for kids. My two cents for improvement - while the general store and the coffee shop were great, the restaurant food could see some improvement (the food was pretty bland), especially considering there are no other options nearby. The cabins could use some tlc - ours was a bit dated but clean.

If you want to stay near Yosemite, there are very few choices. When I was searching for a place to stay, Evergreen Lodge had rave reviews. I'm not sure how. First of all, the staff was great. Very friendly and helpful, so no problem with them. The room however, left much to be desired. I won't say it was dirty, but the couch was stained, the hem on the curtains was ripped and falling apart. The sink in the bathroom was clogged, the hot water handle hardly turned. The shower curtain was stained and one night we had no hot water at all. The food in the restaurant was just ok and vastly overpriced. The road to get there is about 6 miles of a very rough road. Now I get we were out in the woods and it's more like camping than a 4 star lodge.. but that's not a reason for the lack of simple upkeep in the room when the price is almost $300 per night... probably more on season. There are tents on site and maybe actually camping and being less expensive, would be a better experience. In summary, the place is just ok, but don't expect a 4 star lodge as many of the reviews suggest.

We loved our stay at Evergreen Lodge. The atmosphere of cabin feel with the added amenities were a pleasant surprise. The staff is very nice amd accommodating. We we traveled to other national parks and Evergreen was the best of all the places and this location is closest to Yosemite as well.

The Evergreen Lodge slightly off the beaten path but SO WORTH IT. Its a gem of a location with everything you need on site. The food is fantastic at the restaurant and tavern, the beds were comfortable and the pool and play area was perfect for the children. If you're debating on staying here, go ahead and book it - you wont regret it.

Would absolutely recommend. The Evergreen Lodge is off the beaten path, and that one thing that makes it so great. The atmosphere is breathtaking, located adjacent to Yosemite National Park and the grounds and facilities are very well maintained by caring and attentive staff. Being away from civilization, all you hear at night (other than the occasional guests) are quiet and wildlife stirring. Each room has a spacious bathroom and a nice deck - ours overlooked the forest. Bring groceries to store in the in-room refrigerator and warm anything needing it at the lodge kitchen, as there are no microwaves in the rooms. Prices at the store are a little high, which is understandable due to the obvious distance to get items out there. The pool and hot tub are salt water and beautiful, and the kids loved the game room. Overall, an A+ experience. Would definitely go back when visiting Yosemite!
