We pulled up to hotel and had a flat. The manager was so accommodating. Let us leave our car in valet lot while a mobile repair could be called. Everyone were so sweet!

This poor property. It’s almost as if they should just close this place down. It’s so hammered. Everything is so worn and dated. Not this is not a fashionable hotel kind of way, but it looks like everything’s being held together by caulking in the bathroom in the furniture might disintegrate at any moment. In the morning when I got up to get coffee, the lids they put out didn’t match any of the cups. Like it’s all just for show.

Perfect spot to explore Charleston
Came to Charleston for a couples trip to explore the city. The Embassy Suites was in the perfect spot in downtown Charleston. We could walk to everything. It was in a very safe spot with the park right next door. We really enjoyed the breakefast every morning and the 530 happy hour every afternoon. Our room was fine, and all the hotel staff were great!

It was a good weekend for the most part .
Stayed in early April 2024….for the most part the room and hotel although rundown was average to little above.. the location downtown was great close to all the historic attractions… our biggest issue was on our last morning we woke up to roaches scurrying away when we turn lights on in the morning to get ready to checkout. I understand it’s the south as I lived on James Island through high school and college but for a hotel such the quality of Embassy Suites to have a big issue feels like maybe neglect has set in… I sent this concern to corporate and have received zero responses to my concerns. We stayed in room 426 that weekend.

Our back room with a large tub was really neat, with brick walls and maybe old coal chutes in the wall at the back; the rest was really rough. The carpet was stained & coming up, couch was really old and smashed down from people standing on it to try to look out the window (only narrow, high up windows in the room), door and walls dirty, all areas just really need refreshed and restored. I wanted historical but this was just not taken care of. Breakfast was good, helpful desk staff.

Your manager greeted me in a very pleasant and professional manner get to know. The room was disappointing as the shower control was difficult to turn on and off, the tub ha rust on it and the bathroom door jam needed to be painted. The condition of the room was just okay

Good stay!
My room was spacious and clean. I would have had a nice view of Marion Square if not for the renovations and heavy equipment outside my window. I realize that is unavoidable. The carpet and fixtures throughout the hotel are dated and worn and could use updating. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast and happy hour are always appreciated. Check in was a bit slow but it was a very busy weekend, so it was expected.

This hotel is in desperate need of renovation. Carpet worn out, elevator making weird noises and worn. Front desk staff seemed to be inconvenienced that I had problems with my toilet, wouldn't flush properly, they never smiled nor seemed ready to help. I would not stay there again.

A little shabby with years of wear. Wonderful overall stay. 24 hour access to exercise equipment was a help to me. However, because I'm not a 6' male (5'3" only) the equipment was too large. Rooms would benefit from towel bars and mirrors that are lower. Loved the iron and board when needed. Would have appreciated a full-length mirror. Bed was great!

The staff was professional, yet outstanding! There was definitely service with a smile from every staff member I encountered. There are some cosmetic things that need to be made like any other older building. The location was wonderful, staying there placed us in the midst of lots of restaurants and shops. More imagination is needed with hors d'oeuvres that accompany the complimentary drinks. Stale pretzels and baked fish snacks mixed with fresh ones. The deviled egg filling in a bowl with no crackers or egg white with a little paprika! Baby plates made it difficult to place carrots and celery on them with ranch dressing without spilling. (Just some suggestions, presentation goes a long way) The only problem we experienced was the lack of air conditioning, which made our night's sleep torturous. I hope my review helps to elevate things that have been overlooked. Thanks Embassy Suites for hiring those extraordinary staff members, they made the stay worthwhile!
