Check in time was four o’clock, got ther at 4:20 and was told I had to wait because house cleaning had to clean our room, waited a an hour and then got the call that it was ready, the manager apologized and when I got to the room I noticed it seemed different, sure enough it was a handicap accessible room, smh the bed was low and mattress was to soft in mushy. My husband is 6’2 and myself is 6 foot and that was not what I booked. Manager offered me a breakfast card and appetizer card, but never gave it to me, so it was not a great experience.

Started out with my credit card being charged when the room was already paid for. The elevator by my room was broken, I use the stairs but not when bringing up the luggage. My ocean view room was priced as an ocean view, but my view was of a roof..rm#3137. You could see the ocean but over top of the roof. Honesly, will never stay here again.

Very nice room with beautiful view of the ocean. Had to walk forever to get to the room, though. Also, the elevator at our end of the building was not functioning for the entire stay -- bad news when you're on the 5th floor.

The stay was nice and service was excellent however the restroom door was broken and it was easy to become jammed. The restroom wasn’t clean but was able to manage cleaning the toilet. I love that everything is within the hotel and they had a family room for kids to play even though movie night was canceled we still manage to keep our toddler busy. My husband and I liked there was a shuttle bus to take us to the shops . The restore has things to do for kids depending on the day. We would love to come back.

1. Did not receive housekeeping for the first day. 2. There was no body wash in our room for the entire duration of our stay, despite our repeated requests. The housekeepers did not speak English and relied on their phones to translate. I also noticed housekeepers keeping their purses on their carts. 3. There was a water leak coming from the ceiling, and drywall was coming down. You could notice that someone had recently patched it up, but obviously, it was not repaired. After repeatedly asking for someone to look at it, they sent the serviceman to my room at midnight, and he let himself in. 4. We were on the 5th floor, oceanview, and the ice machine room on that level reeked of mildew, and the carpeting was completely saturated outside the ice room door. 5. The carpeted hallway floors were filthy with trash in various places. 6. I had to wait in a long line several times to address these issues. During our last night's stay, a person in front of me had his room broken into. I could go on and on about this place. They lack staff, and there are building problems and maintenance issues that need to be attended to at the very least. I am not normally a complainer, but I paid this top rate, and I expected a seamless, clean hotel with great service. It was far from it. Very disappointing.

I would say nothing special unfortunately. There were fees for everything. We ordered at the pool and there was a service fee, resort fee and tourism fee on top of taxes for the order. We checked out in room service option and there was a "delivery" fee. The drinks at all restaurants were also okay. Next time we visit, we'll be looking at other accommodations.

Loud neighbors with barking dogs. Moved to lesser room Which I should get refund. Elevators broken had to use fire stairs to beach at 70 yr old balcony chair broke. Room didn’t get cleaned until 5:00. Won’t stay there again

Absolutely beautiful property, very friendly pool bar/restaurant staff. My only concern/downside was that I was told one amount for the incidental hold, then I was charged over $200 more. That totaled a $600 hold for one night that was prepaid, which takes days to clear. This also happened to other pre-paid patrons who were bringing their concerns to management as well. I'm a Marriott Gold member of over 15 years and a timeshare owner, and to be charged a hold that costs more than the room was ridiculous. Though the manager on duty admitted it was their mistake, their nonchalant demeanor was very disheartening.

The Westin has a great location on Hilton Head, however the property does need some renovation particularly in exterior areas, pool deck needs refurbishment, some chipped or broken surfaces especially near pool edges and steps. Guest room was generally well maintained. We found staff to be personable and courteous, pool food and beverage service was on the slow side.
