Location was excellent. The front desk staff upon checking in could have been friendlier and thorough. There is no safe in the room and were told no housekeeping would be coming into our room. On day 3 they did come in while we were gone. One night around 2 AM the smoke detector went off, kept beeping after staff left to fix it. Parking was comped due to that inconvenience which was appreciated. Overall 3/5 stars

The pros: property is convenient, very clean and they have a friendly staff. Cons: the gym facilities were horrible - small room, when crowded (which was every AM), the room temp was about 80 degrees - no fans or AC. No masks required, so very unsafe. Another problem was the breakfast - now that Covid restrictions have eased, you would think they would offer fresh bagels/muffins/etc. but no…all silverware, muffins, bagels were individually wrapped in plastic. Only Paper plates provided also. Fruit was only served whole (apples, oranges) - nothing fresh cut. BUT you could get eggs/bacon/sausage etc from the chafing dishes using the large serving spoon that everyone touches! Just doesn’t make sense. So much waste. Lastly, we were told that due to the storm that came through our cable was not working properly, but we stayed 4 nights and the storm was gone for 2 days yet we could not watch anything on TV because every 30 seconds the sound and picture would disappear! We were not the only guests with the problem, everyone was complaining. For the price of the room it was very disappointing. Would definitely pick another hotel for a return to Charleston!

Property near night life and restaurants. They were short staffed and check in took some time. When I called the front desk, it rang continuously. Finally hung up and used my cell phone instead of hotel room phone and got an answer. Desk clerk was working as fast as he could.
