Transportation from DTW
Stay at one of the larger hotels near DTW airport so you can score free shuttles that many hotels provide outside of the baggage claim. To skip driving entirely, book a taxi cab or luxury sedan from the ground transportation center at each terminal. In addition to Detroit plane tickets, many vacation packages already include transportation, so make sure yours doesn't before booking your own ride. With Detroit’s airport being located in a largely industrial zone, most of the nearby hotels may not be “vacation-worthy." Luckily, though, downtown is just a short ride from DTW. So, you are better off with one of these popular options as opposed to a roadside motel close to DTW:
