Dirty and unkept facilities

Upon arrival I was notified that the water park hours were from 3pm-9pm, which was upsetting because the website does not reflect this. Very frustrated because I always like to have my little go before check out next day. The room was dirty. There were fresh brown/red stains on the bed. Floors and fridge was dirty. The phone didn’t work and had missing buttons (couldn’t call front desk). Spoke to the front desk attendant and they flat out told me the owner has several properties and he does not invest into this one at all. They said the carpet and facility hasn’t been fixed or updated since purchase precovid. Again relayed the owner just does not care. The water park was nice but the bathrooms in there were absolutely disgusting. Poop on the walls and toilets. Toilet paper shreds, left behind clothes, and wet towels all over-all left from days prior, as we were the only visitors that day. The staff was nice but the facilities and uncleanliness are not worth the $. You’re better off going to Great wolf lodge

So the front desk was pretty nice, two ladies in particular, Gina, I forget the others name, but they were really flexible w/ the hotel pool, since the splash resort pool closed at 9. There is no hot tub in the hotel pool, or even at the splash report because the “hot springs” was shut down, but even still you couldn’t be under 18 which really sucks because try going with your kids but telling your kids, “sorry can’t go in” when they’ve been going in hot tub since they were born. Anyways except from the guy( younger boy) who was still a high school or in college, on our last day was one of the ONLY ones I seen cleaning the resort area. He was very attentive to tending to the water area, but also getting the tubes up and out of the water, he swept, folded laundry. It was almost shocking because aside from the two brunettes who were working at the resort when we first arrived, I hadn’t seen anyone clean anything our whole stay (4days) There were spots on the carpet, things needed to be restocked, garbages, etc but the employees would just sit in that back office at the front desk, not even watching the front because I’d have to ring the bell to get their attention. I think the passes should be included in the stay, because the hotel side of it is a bit run down, there’s not even a microwave in room. There was the same spot on the carpet that needed to be vacuumed for days…people shouldn’t have to pay for their whole stay, just to be told at check in that they owe 180 still

The lady at the front desk has an horrible attitude. Her customer service skills are poor and she shouldn’t be working with anyone or the public if she doesn’t know how to be nice. Overall the room wasn’t bad, but there some areas that were over looked. The property most definitely needs a hot tub.

The staff other then the manger was super nice it’s not stated that u don’t get water park tickets along with ur reservation through Expedia then they wanted $60 a person for tickets once u got there for a small unimpressive water park there was vary few life guards and they weren’t even watching the water just the door to make sure people had wrist bands and game room was not good also no food open on property and that was fine because the kitchen for the snack shack looked nasty

The room cards didn't work to get into the pool. The vending maching weren't working. In the room the electric outlets were few and one didn't work. No microwave in the room. There wasn't even a tissue box. There was not a continental breakfast even. It was a expensive trip and common necessary items weren't provided. .

Strange Atmosphere

All in all, my two daughters and I had fun. The place left me wondering.... There is a large banner that says "We're Now Open" although it has been open for some time. From the outside, you may not think so. It was dark. At night, nothing is lit up. During the day, all of the landscaping is overgrown. Coffee in the lobby never had stir sticks or napkins. All of the vending machines nesr the lobby were empty and out of order, including the elevator. Maid service did pick up towels outside of our door but I had the fetch my own as they never came in to clean. Side Note: if you book through Hotels.com, it does NOT include the waterpark price. Moving on to that. The Snack Shack was not open, the arcade claw machines were almost out of stock and the claws weren't strong enough to hold onto anything with the weight of what was left. Along the table areas in the pool area, there were ants due to food being left under the tables. In the souvenir shop, the A/C condenserd were driping water all along the whole back of the shop, right onto whatever was below. As for the location....Excellent! Tons of food options within walking distance as well as Cabela's. If you're not picky, it was a good getaway and not crowded at all on the weekdays.

Great getaway in the middle of the week.

This was our first two-room vacation, and the staff was extremely friendly and courteous in helping us find the best location. We had a toilet that wouldn't flush, and the staff moved both rooms to a different location in order to rectify the problem. The rooms and overall hotel were clean, the staff was friendly, and we will be returning soon.

Not worth the trip

There are so many other waterparks that are 500% better than this one for the same price. My 8 year old granddaughter wanted to leave after 2 hours. This park might be good for small babies and toddlers? Not bigger kids. All the vending machines were out of order. The restaurant was closed. There were hardly any people. We waited 15 minutes to pay to get in when it opened. The arcade was not air conditioned and was unbearable to stay in... Not a good experience. Go to a different waterpark. Would not go here again.

We just stayed there as part of a larger group for baseball in Tecumseh. The manager was and staff were awesome! All the kids loved the water park. Would gladly stay there again. John in Birmingham, MI
