How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Ann Arbor

Your journey to Ann Arbor begins the minute you've finished all the security checks. We've put together a list of useful tips to help you get through quickly:

  • Be sure you know the whereabouts of your passport and boarding pass. You don't want to hold up the queue when you're asked to produce them.
  • You'll need to place your music on pause for a short while. Earphones need to be taken off and put in a bin for X-raying. The same goes for items such as belts and heavy jackets.
  • Ensure your electronic devices and laptop are within reach. These items need to be put through the X-ray machine in separate bins.
  • When you get to the security checkpoint, you'll be asked to place all creams, liquids and gels in a separate bin for scanning. Make sure they're all in containers smaller than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and sealed in a clear zip-lock bag.
  • Think about the type of footwear you want to fly in. Slippers are great because they're easy to step out of for the airport security checks. Try wearing a pair on your next journey!
  • Multi-tools and corkscrews are prohibited from entering the plane. Pack them in your checked luggage to avoid leaving them at the security checkpoint.
*Price based on the lowest price found within past 24 hours and based upon one night stay for two adults over the next thirty days. Prices and availability subject to change. Additional terms may apply.
