We were there two nights in a premium room. The room was not made up after the first night. I had asked the maid at about 2;00PM to clean make up our room and even tipped her $10, my usual practice. But she did make the bed and change the towels or even enter the room. When we returned at 6:00PM I informed the front desk and they informed me that the practice of the Wyndham La Quinta is not to make up rooms unless requested for two night stays. Requesting the maid does not qualify! They did comp me the $15 daily parking fee ( like airline fees). It is not a big deal but it appears as though Wyndham which I though was more up scale service, is reducing customer service to be like airline services. The manager was only there for two weeks and was nice enough but obviously not well trained. Have all hotels fallen to this poor service or is it just Wyndham La Quinta? I do not blame either the maid or the evening manager it is definitely a corporate policy and management policy to reduce customer service. This is not the premium service I had expected. Next time I will look elsewhere and recommend you do too. I suppose it is not a big dealbut the decline in customer service is alarming to me and unacceptable.
