We have stayed at Vista Cay a number of times but this was our first time in this unit.
The refrigerator/freezer was not working correctly and all our food defrosted. The maintenance team fixed it and then the refrigerator side froze all our remaining food despite being on a mid setting. The refrigerator is old and needs to be replaced.
When the rain started , water began seeping in through the windows in the kitchen and the upstairs front bedroom. We had to use towels to soaks up the water and there was mold visible around the window.
The TVs are way too small for the unit. In particular the living room tv is about the size a computer monitor. We had to move the sofas closer to be able to watch anything.
Our stay was in the middle of Hurricane Milton as we had evacuated from Sarasota. Has we been here on Vacation I would have a lot more challenges with the unit including the fact that the community pool etc is closed for renovations but we received no correspondence before arriving or at booking.
Vista Cay is still a great resort in a great location but maybe find a different unit to rent.
