A bit misleading

First, we did have a good time. However, we felt that the description was misleading. It said the house was on 25 acres, but failed to mention that there were houses on both sides, so no wondering around on all that acreage. We were also surprised to find that that the highway was so close. We could see the cars through the trees from the deck and it was quite noisy. The most disappointing thing was how hard it was to access the creek without going on another property. We had to climb over a pile of rocks. In addition, it is advertised that the property is 7 miles from downtown Tellico. We clocked it at 15 miles, which was about 20 minutes. We had specie plans for the weekend and had to modify, so we were disappointed.

Peace and quiet

Booked this for my parents wedding anniversary and it's exactly what they wanted. They loved the creek and the deck the most. This was in February and alot of the gift shops, welcome centers etc was all closed for the season. This was a disappointment about the area. The TV in cabin was tricky. My dad couldn't get it to work except for basic channels. Deff enjoyed the cabin and the scenery. I'm sure they will always treasure these memories

Quaint & Quiet Cabin by a creek in the woods

We really needed some time away from having had a difficult year. We were looking to just get away from the world. This place was perfect for just the 2 of us! We loved the cabin!! Sitting on the swing and listening to the creek was just what we needed to relax. We felt like we had such nice privacy in the woods. We loved driving along out in the beautiful countryside! It was not far to see Bald River Falls!! We had a great lunch at Ironworks Grill! There were so many options to go do fun things close to the cabin but we didn’t have much time. We would love to come back some day and take a few more days off to sit and listen to the creek after we go enjoy some sight seeing! The cabin was well equipped and the bed was comfortable. We felt at home. The loft looks like a great place for some of our family to join us!

Secluded and romantic. Great place for just two or a group.

The place was private, beautiful and a great location. The only hitch was, somebody forgot to tell the cleaning staff we were coming and the linens were in the tub, beds were unmade and not ready for us. Once they were notified, they quickly came to tidey up and we were pleased with the cabin. A large and well stocked kitchen was a welcome sight. Sitting by the small creek with some wine was wonderful. We recommend it highly.

Family Retreat

We picked up the grandson in Cleveland and spent 4 wonderful nights in Coker Creek. Campfires, lightning bugs, and fishing in the creek created a great change of pace for our family.

The good and bad

Other cabins are too close. Cleaning fee is higher than anyone else in this region. The stove needs attention. From other reviews it seemed no concerns had been addressed. We enjoyed the porch and the swing. The creek was lovely. It was a little difficult to get to, but we enjoyed its peaceful sound.

Needs a little TLC

Beautiful area, nice and quiet. Cabin needs a little work. Oven was dirty, grease under the burners, and the burner protective dishes need to be replaced. Blinds on sliding doors were missing 12 slats. Left bed in loft needs to have the frame adjusted, bed kept falling through. Overall the cabin was very nice, we would consider staying there again.

I love the freedom cabin

This is probably my 15th time in 5 years of renting this cabin! I absolutely love it. Whether it's winter spring fall or summer it's always a beautiful quiet get away. My favorite is the decks over looking the creeks I could sit there all day and never get tired of it

Subtly comfortable building at a great location

The stay at this place gave us the feeling of having our own mountain cabin. From the drive to the place, to the driveway, to the stream and its sounds, to the wood it's made of. It's homey. Inside, was clean and things worked well, nothing really missing. But the master bed was a little wobbly, and the couch probably needs new cushions and a clean. Like many other reviews, set your GPS to the coordinates given to you, not the address. We were one of those who thought we were close until we've had to enter the coordinates.

Highly recommended!

Everything was amazing, alredy planning to come back again, everything was clean, comfortable, amazing locations, just perfect to me, accurate drive instructions, check in instructions, we loved everything! I recommend to get here while day light, If you don’t know the area!!!

Perfect little spot to get away

Nearest store is greater than 30 min away. Buy everything you need before getting to the cabin. Beautiful and comfy. No cell service; perfect reason to not being able to “text or respond” back. Such a nice getaway location. Shower water pressure was strong and hot! Cabin heater worked great….. cabin had all amenities of home in the kitchen- all we needed was food to add to it. The creek is so close to the house; sitting on the porch swing listening to the water run through the rocks is a prized memory for us.

Relaxing and great place to disconnect and enjoy nature

The cabin was very clean (5 stars) and we enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the creek and just taking in the nature. The roads are easy to travel on and the Coker Creek Welcome Center was very helpful with guides for things to do. We highly recommend this cabin. WONDERFUL place.

Absolutely Perfect! Porch is amazing and the creek is so nice!

A friend and I stayed for a weekend and absolutely loved it! We wanted to be close to River Road in Tellico Plains and also have a creek we could sit in in the evenings. This fit the bill perfectly! The cabin was nice and cool on the hot days. Sitting on the porch, listening to music and the creek down below was nice and relaxing. Be careful getting into the creek, the best way in is over some rocks and if you're not paying attention, it could be really easy to slip up and twist an ankle. But once you get past that, it is the prefect sitting creek! We did have wifi so could use our phones. There was some laundry detergent there so we were able to wash our dirty clothes before heading home, which is always a nice bonus. There is a grill that is hooked up to a gas line that made grilling super easy and convenient. We had coffee and breakfast at Trout Mountain Coffeehouse nearby, and man was it soooo good! The cabin is tucked back off the road, but not totally secluded, with another cabin just up the creek. So we did see others in the creek and could hear them having a good ol time one evening. So if you're looking for TOTAL seclusion, this wouldn't be the spot, but if you're looking for a clean cabin, with the basic essentials, a fantastic porch and a creek to sit it, this one is for you!
