Staff were awesome and really tried to make our stay better, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is definitely due for a renovation. Our first room was not clean—the tub was heavily stained, there was hair on the wall and floor, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. We were moved to another room, which was an upgrade with a fireplace, but it still had issues. The fireplace had chipped rocks, the walls looked like they were mid-prep for painting, and the bathroom floor constantly had standing water with no clear source. We were on the 5th floor and the main elevator kept breaking down. At that point, we didn’t want to go through moving again, so we just made it work—but overall, the condition of the rooms really took away from the experience.

Unfortunately, the room and facilities felt very dated for the price point. The bathroom in particular could really use a refresh—the tub and fixtures looked quite old and worn. Overall, the room felt more like an older motel than a hotel in this price range. The view and general condition of the room didn’t match what I expected based on the cost. The stay was acceptable, but the property is clearly in need of updates and modernization to justify its rates.

The hotel has a cool retro feel, everything was clean and the location was convenient to the main strip in Gatlinburg. Our son liked that we could go swimming even though it was freezing outside! The restaurant was good too. Overall a good experience.
