This was my first VRBO stay and I wasn't sure how to check in. When I arrived I looked around and found someone that was helping out the owner and he helped me check in. I never talked with the owner. Overall it was what I expected and the experiance was just fine.

Disappointed, didn't stay one night

The property is an upstairs space, cooled only by window air conditioner units. None were turned on when I got there; owner turned on one of them as I was carrying luggage upstairs. The owner said she would get a plug to make the other work, never did. I could not get the ceiling fan to turn on. It was a 90+ degree day. Bathroom smelled of mildew and the toilet wouldn't flush. When I was looking at the old towels in the bathroom and thinking, because of the strong mildew smell (honestly, it smelled like cat pee), that I was going to need to go and buy my own towels, that's when I decided to get a hotel room instead. Messaged the owner that I was leaving, never heard back from her. Was never offered any kind of even partial refund, which I can understand b/c it was a musical festival weekend. But also wasn't even offered an apology for the experience.
