Downtown Delight

Pros: Location & amenitities
Cons: Nothing this trip.
Location: Killer downtown location on Metro line. Near sports venues for Arizona Diamondbacks & Phoenix Suns. Good restaurants on-site and nearby.
I chose this hotel because of it's proximity to Chase Field. I was in town specifically to see a Diamondbacks game and didn't want to rent a car. Hotel Palomar turned out to be ideal. It is about 4 blocks to the ballpark, on the Metro line making to/from the airport a breeze, elegant, clean and modern. The on-site restaurants served great food at reasonable prices. The staff was spot-on helpful. The doormen were polite, helpful and useful along with being charming and knowledgeable about the area. Going in I felt it might be pricier than necessary, but was totally worth it. I felt safe and well taken care of.

Thank you David! While satisfactory is not what we are after, it is motivation for us to get ready for the next one. All the best.

Enjoyed a fun afternoon at the pool, live music.

It's a perfectly located hotel with all of the amenities. Great restaurant in the hotel with excellent restaurants surrounding it.

We are so happy to hear you enjoyed the events from Memorial Day weekend! A much similar experience is happening here for the 4th of July. Hope to have you back!

Location and queen beds rule

The best part about this hotel is the location in Downtown Phoenix. Close to the ball games and lots of restaurants and walking areas. The room had two queen sized beds. Extremely clean bathrooms. Very quiet. You don't hear your neighbors. The only negative was the parking. You have to take elevators and walk a bit to get from the communal parking area back into the hotel. A small sacrifice, however. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, almost hits the mark.

What stands out the most about the Palomar was the service. I've stayed in literally hundreds of hotels around the world, some big chains and others boutique hotels, design hotels, or Hip Hotels, and it was the Service that stood out the most By Far! There's nothing better than calling a hotel's front desk and being greeted by your name and going above and beyond expectations for someone to help you. No major call center and being redirected to another person, etc. Valet gave the similar one on one experience as did every Bar, Restaurant, and on-site amenity (gym, pool, pool bar, concierge). Where the hotel fell short was a certain level of fun or funk in the rooms. I feel the days of the $8 bottle water are over. Give one free, or some free treats, like a cookie from a local Bakery & promote them. Everybody loves an unexpected gift. Work it into the price if u need too. It's like flying Business Class and having to pay for nut & a soda, it's awkward. The rooms are comfy, Frette linens nice, and overall floor plan nice. The Bathrooms were big and the walk-in shower very nice. Closet space was fine, but two small drawers is very small storage for most people. The phone system was super easy to navigate, and hooray for lights with dimming switches that don't take 5' to figure out how to use. Really bad grades go to in-room dining. We did late-night menu, breakfast, and dinner. What a let-down (except for the French toast & berries). Avoid Room Service.

Very nice hotel with great staff.

Pros: The staff.
Cons: Leave the coffee bar up at least an hour longer.
Location: Near to lots of great places to eat, shop, and play. The Breakfast Club next door is a really good place to have a good, reasonably priced breakfast.
Nice place. They pick up the coffee bar an hour too early. The valet parking staff is super but the valet parking is a little pricey. I guess you have to pay for what you get. Overall...very nice facility with a really tremendous staff. Really can't say enough good things about ALL the good folks who work there.

The hotel was very close to show we saw

Pros: The hotel was very nice and well staffed.
Cons: The sheets on the bed were a little small for the bed size.
Location: Very close to the baseball park, US Airways Center
The room did not have a king size bed , we were given a room with two queen size beds . I called down stairs to the front office and they said all the rooms were full, I booked are stay on May 2,2015.

Best Hotel EVER!!!!!!!!

Pros: EVERYTHING
Cons: NOTHING
Location: Right in the middle of everything downtown
This was the best hotel experience ever!!!!! The hotel was beautiful, the staff was AWESOME, they make you feel like a king or queen here. If your not staying at this hotel, your staying at the wrong hotel. Will only stay here when I'm in Phoenix. Two thumbs up and five star rating from me.
