A Pleasurable Stay

Despite of some issues upon arrival, which were promptly corrected, our overall stay was great. Management were attentive to our needs throughout our entire stay and this made the difference in our overall experience. The comfortable room with a beautiful view of the city overlooking the river on a high floor, a wonderful breakfast (the best coffee and omelets), friendly and professional staff made our stay worthwhile. We will definitely stay there again.

I have stayed two previous times at this property. I chose again based on location, convenience and services offered. The only option for dining, snacks, cocktails and coffee was Shula's steakhouse and the cafe which had extremely limited hours. The Chi Town bar was closed the entire time we were there. For drinks prior to dinner, Shula's was our only in hotel option. The restaurant and bar area were both dirty and uninviting. I don't mind paying for good for or wine, but the conditions and quality do not come close to what you pay. After a day of exposed to extreme cold, there was not one option for an afternoon coffee or hot tea as the cafe closed late morning. I fully understand that staffing can be an issue. However, the other hotels close by we visited had plenty of options for what the Sheraton was lacking. It is rare that I leave a review of this kind as I'm aware of situations beyond the control of staff, but for the type and size of this hotel, I was shocked at the limited offerings. On a good note, the staff were extremely friendly and apologetic for these limitations. Customer service was the only thing the Sheraton got right this trip.

Really nice and close to walk to most everything. We saw they had a chi bar, burger joint and an ala-carte restaurant on their website so we chose to stay here. To find out on a Saturday eve they were all closed. Only thing that was open was a high end steak establishment. We ventured out and found good grub but was disappointed the advertised options were not open.

Sheraton used to be a great place to stay, but unfortunately, that is no longer the case. The restaurant was empty, and the food was overpriced and of poor quality. Despite Chicago’s cold weather, the room was only equipped with a thin sheet for warmth. Additionally, the surrounding area appeared unkempt, which detracted from the overall experience. For the amount of money we spent, I would prefer to stay elsewhere. A hotel should prioritize maintaining a clean and appealing appearance to provide guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would recommend choosing any other hotel—it will be a better use of your money.

I stay at this hotel usually for the Cubs Convention. It was very clean and accessible for stuff like restaurants. I would stay at the Sheraton again even if it's not for the Cubs Convention
