Very close to shops, right around the corner from the subway and buses. Hotel was clean and staff were excellent at going out of their way to get what I needed. Lift was a bit slow but for the hotel it’s about right. Good restaurant and bar on lobby floor which was handy.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are fashioned to pay homage to the original era of the building which I appreciated, it was like stepping back in time which was really cool. I thought my room could have used a deep clean though bc there was a good amount of dust on the main light fixture that hangs over the bed, behind the headboard and on the molding. Otherwise the room and the bathroom were clean. It was also surprisingly quiet for where it’s located.

The hotel was of course unique; it was also clean, very well located and had nice sized rooms for the price. The only real issue I had was with the elevator but it is an old building so it was understandable.

Two elevators were different but interesting. I'm sure issues were due to the age of the building , but they didn't move efficiently. Beautiful building & bar though 3am morning taxi call to airport was terrific! I💖NY!!
