This was a very disappointing experience. The hotel is in very bad shape and on top of that also charged $40 per day for a “resort” fee. They don’t even have a gym (they give you a pass to go to an outside gym 10 min away). When I spoke with the GM to get the fee refunded, he told me in a rude tone that that is not possible because I booked via Expedia (“if you had booked directly, I could give you a refund”). I felt scammed….Don’t visit this hotel! Expedia, you have an issue here !!!!!

Very friendly staff, it’s NYC so that is hard to get. The parking is not as advertised, it is $59 and the discount mentioned is only $4. There is no microwave, coffeemaker, tea or anything in the room, and you are lucky if the refrigerator works, ours did not. It was very clean, some things needed fixing in the room but was not a big deal.

Waking up in a nightmare at Dream hotel

I went to this property for its location near Central Park and with a name like “Dream” that’s what I was hoping I would be doing on my vacation time! However it was horrible! The room I got was filthy, old carpet covered in filth…and hair in the bathoom on my towels. Old pillows that were clumpy and uncomfortable! The room size was small but that’s ok if everything else is maintained to perfection! Also, I had run the New York half marathon on Sunday and looked forward in my Monday morning sleep in late! Instead I was woken up with jack hammers outside my window! The hotel needs retro fit and get double pain windows so their paying guests won’t be constantly disappointed! When I complained to the desk manager they were kind enough to remove the “$80” resort fee and give me a 5,000 member points via the Hyatt affiliated program! I pretty much had a very wasted day in NYC because I was so tired! I highly recommend Virgin Atlantic as they provide five star service!

This was a terrific weekend stay. My first time at this hotel and I will likely stay again. The team here is so friendly and helpful and the room was very quiet and clean. The rooftop bar was also very cool.

Staff were excellent. Very helpful. Construction work next door was horrible. Concrete drilling very loud from 8am to 5pm. No refrigerator. Had to have on sent up. Had to go to adjacent restaurant to get ice for room. Charged facility fee but there were no additional facilities
