This hotel is a great location to area points of interest, however, it is an "ordinary" hotel. The best part of this property is the bellmen. The hallway walls are very dark brown with black carpet. Very depressing. Our shower drain was clogged. Staff was nice but didn't speak English except at the front desk. Bar is greatly overpriced, even for NYC. No extras what-so-ever. Tiny lobby with very little seating while waiting for room, bags, etc.

I booked a shuttle from the hotel to the airport the front desk asked me what time my flight was and what time pich up was and said that was way to early called the shuttle had them change the pickup time everyone who works there was friendly definitly going back and I'm only staying at his hotel great location also

Clean , quiet, daily housekeeping. and fridge in room. Would have appreciated bottles of water replaced daily. Very satisfied.

I chose this hotel for the location, unique rooms, and rooftop bar. Who needs additional amenities when all of NY is at your fingertips? I was courteously greeted and helped every time I walked in the door and by all staff. I had a queen room and it was small, but had 10' ceilings, bay windows, and nice appointments, a perfect and comfortable place to lay my head after walking all day. Despite my room was right across from the elevator it was pretty quiet. Roof top was nice with view of Empire State building. My window blind came crashing down in the middle of the night though, as it was a recent remodel. The issue was quickly and courteously resolved. Things happen, but it was handled well. I would absolutely love to stay there again, for it meet all the needs I was looking for.

Construction is a problem. Only one elevator working. Room was clean and overall impression good. Would stay again AFTER construction ends.

I was very disappointed in my stay this time. I have stayed at Hotel Metro before and have enjoyed my room. The hotel is going through renovations but I was not aware that some of the rooms had not been completed. I thought that they were just working on the lobby. My first two stays I had newly renovated rooms so they were clean and very comfortable. However, this last stay I was placed in a room that was not renovated. The room obviously was not what I expected and it was not in very good condition. One morning I even discovered a big bug near my bed. The price for my run down room was not worth it, especially since I had stayed in nicer rooms before. I am not sure why the staff would do this to a returning guest.

I like the black interior of the hotel. The staff were nice and accommodating. I would recommend hotel metro/kixby to my friends.
