Just around the corner from Penn Station and MSG. I just wish they had a staff elevator because there are times during the day that the staff rules the elevators. Once you figure out those times, no complaints.

The bathroom had small flies coming out of the shower drain which was gross. What was even worse was that it was 96 degrees and the hallway had no ac and the one elevator was broken. This meant that there was only ONE ELEVATOR for the entire hotel…. And it didn’t have AC either. Took me 30 minutes to get out of the hotel

I booked this property because of location and price. I thought with DoubleTree I could expect a certain standard. I was rather disappointed. It was not very clean, and I had to move rooms late at night due to suspected bed bugs. Staff was not very friendly or seemed concerned with the visible bites on my body. I would have preferred to change hotels but the new rooms seemed fine, albeit not super clean either. Additionally, only one of two elevators was working which led to a lot of delays. The sign stating maintenance seemed to be somewhat permanent.

Fix the elevators and give back the coffee

This was our third stay in 12 months. This time around we had to deal with constant elevator issues. Our room was on the 9th floor. First of all, there are only 2 elevators to serve all hotel guests. The maintenance and service people also use them. For 2 days out of the 3 we stayed, one elevator was out of order. We needed to get downstairs with luggage to check out. We are unable to take 9 flights of stairs, especially with large luggage. The one working elevator took as long as 12 minutes to come, and each time it did come, it was of course full and we were unable to get in. Finally in desperation we called for an “up” elevator and rode it to the top floor (maybe 25th?) and then all the way back down. On the way back down, every stop it made left people unable to get in. Although this may seem trivial, there is no more complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning. I think almost all hotels offer coffee. Doesn’t seem like a big deal to me. We will not go back here, too many other options.
