Great boutique hotel in the heart of Broadway

Pros: Location. And the fast and free wifi is always appreciated.
Cons: The rooms are probably due for fresh wallpaper, and a general renovation.
Location: Gregory's Coffee across the street is fantastic, and you're just steps from Times Square and a variety of theaters, restaurants and attractions.
City Club is a great boutique hotel near Times Square and in the heart of the Broadway district. With just 66 rooms, the staff is excellent and takes a personal interest. The rooms are showing some age and wear and tear, but they are comfortable and well worth the price for the area. We've stayed at least 10 times in the last few years and will continue to return.

Location, location!

Pros: The location.
Cons: Cleanliness/detailing of the room. Replace sunk in mattresses. SOUND-PROOF WINDOWS!
Location: Perfect location- near all must-see spots in NYC.
This hotel is in the middle of EVERYTHING! Location-wise it is GREAT! Staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel itself is a bit on the older side and the room could be cleaned up/detailed a bit more. . . The walls were dirty and there were a ton of dust bunnies behind the headboards. The windows are not sound-proof and you can hear EVERYTHING when you are trying to fall asleep. There isn't a microwave in the room, which is inconvenient, but staff was quick to warm up food when requested. The refrigerator is very small. The shower handle kept falling off and one of the beds had a mattress that was completely sunk in from one side.

Great Hotel. Amazing Staff!

Pros: Super friendly staff, location. Quite rooms. Comfy beds.
Location: Times Square is just a couple blocks away. There is a Whole Foods close by. Multiple subway stations are easy to get to.
We had a family group with three rooms. The property is a nice boutique(ish) hotel. Clean. Safe. Easy access to anything you want. All that is really important, but the best part is the staff. I spend several months a year in hotels and this staff is as friendly, polite and helpful and any I've run across. We had a couple preschoolers with us and they felt so important because the front desk people went out of their way to converse with them.

Great Hotel, just off Times Square.

Pros: We love this place. Small, but cozy rooms. Refrigerator & closet flush mounted in the walls keeps the room looking clean. Great location near Times
We use this Hotel when we go to the NY Now Show. Everything is close by, Trains, buses, shuttles, and Broadway Shows.

Disappointed. What a difference a year makes.

Pros: Incredibly location.... and DB next door is a dining gem.
Cons: Sadly, just about everything.
We had an amazing experience in 2014 at this hotel, so much so that we've recommended it highly to clients and friends. We won't do that again, nor are we likely to return. Our 2015 experience was the complete opposite. The staff was not welcoming or accommodating, and the quality of rooms (yes, plural) dropped significantly. Do not stay on the top floor.... the heating equipment is so noisy that it vibrates the walls.

What a great stay & such hospitality!

My friend & I went to New York for vacation. We stayed at The City Club hotel for 6 days & loved every minute if it! The staff was so helpful & friendly! The accommodations were perfect for what we were looking for & they left chocolate chip cookies every night for turn down service! I would recommend The City Club to anyone going to NYC.

travelocity needs to reconsider their luxury ratings

Pros: nice staff
Cons: Noisy, upgraded room is a normal size room, listed as luxury hotel and it isn't, view is lousy
i had to spend an additional $150 to upgrade from a shoebox to a normal size room. the room that i upgraded to had a lousy view and was not even close to being a luxury hotel. the staff were extremely nice and helpful and really that is the only positive thing i have to say for the experience. i was extremely disappointed and this was my first and most likely the last time i will use travelocity. just because a hotel hangs a robe for you and uses nice shower products doesn't make it a luxury hotel!!
