While the staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel itself was slightly run down and the furnishings showed signs of wear and tear. The rooms were very clean. There is a construction site across the street that is loud and brightly lit 24 hours a day, making sleeping in a little difficult. Overall, it was satisfactory but definitely not 5 stars.

I enjoyed my stay at the Ameritania Hotel, and would recommend to others who are looking for a fantastic location close to many noted landmarks, and tourist spots. I was in walking distance of Times Square, Madison Square Garden, endless dining, and good proximity to public transportation. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and my room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. I would book again for a solo trip for sure.
