I had an accident a few months ago and in a whhelchair for a bit. They gave us a really nice wheelchair accessible room with a 🔥 and a jetted tub that was easy to climb in and out of. It was heaven We kept the window open since the weather was perfect and we heard a noise outside. It was a deer munching on the plants in the back looking back at us! It was so much fun

We got a wonderful fireplace and jetted tub. Also 2 months ago i was in a car accident and broke my hand and ankle so i am in a wheelchair. They gave us a really clean handicapped room and it was so convenient

We rushed to get there by 8pm as one of the previous reviews said you couldn’t check in after 8. That’s not true, you just need to ring the night check in buzzer and someone will come assist you! They close the lobby at 8, but don’t disappear off the premises. The lady who checked us in was so friendly and hospitable. She calmed my nerves when there was a tsunami warning. I’m from a landlocked state, so this was new for me! The room is outdated and held together by electrical tape in some spots. It needs some renovations, but it was clean and comfortable for a couple of nights. It’s exactly what I would expect for the price and location.

No one was available for check-in at 4:20pm. The key to the room wouldn't work, then the door wouldn't open. They switched us to another room that was musty. The bathroom was dilapidated and in need of repair. The sink basin faucet was loose and didn't emit hot water. The area was nice and serene, but the experience was near zero.

One typically knows what to expect when booking an “Inn” at this price point, and I had reasonable expectations about the “suite” at the Rosedale Inn. These expectations were somehow not even in the ballpark of what I was given upon check in. From moldy walls and curtains, to a broken light in the bathroom, a peeling tub, moist and mildew soaked air, and a bed that gave both me and my partner a rash, I simply can’t in good conscience recommend this location. It’s one matter for a room to have dated fixtures or aesthetics, as this is simply a nitpick if the room itself is clean and comfortable, however it seemed as though this room had been allowed to fall into total disrepair and filth. The bathroom was covered in mildew, the walls had signs of mold in both the area with the bed as well as the adjoining room, the heater simply did not function, painters tape was holding the locks down on the windows, etc, etc. I’m truly only scratching the surface with how displeased I am with my stay here. Their online listings do not fully indicate the level of disrepair and overall filth of the rooms. I’m not at all sure what the positive reviews here are referencing, but I would be curious to see what those same reviewers would have to say after staying a night in the king suite that I booked. Believe the negative reviews that you come across. This place simply isn’t functionally operating at a level that is safe or healthy for guests.

This hotel is old and not kept up. We were emailed a few hours before, that staff would be leaving at 8pm and we would have no access to our room. And bonus, when checked in, staff said no one would be there until 10am. Who does that?!! The room carpet was torn exposing pad and floorboards. Shower curtain was shredded and room smelled musty. Also no water pressure. The location was close to the beach and other things in Monterey That was the only good thing I could say. Ended up leaving a day early. Very disappointing!

Expedia booked us with the hotel into a double instead of the king suite we purchased. Staff called Expedia & fixed that. Everything in the correct room needed fixing: 6 light bulbs missing or bad, one lamp not working at all, every curtain missing hooks & not hanging or closing properly, wall paper peeling off in the bathroom, tears & missing buttons on the sofa bed, spots on the carpet. Staff took care of what they could on the next day. We are repeat visitors, due to proximity to Asilomar, but will not book them again as this is our second booking there with issues.

The property itself is very old and needs a lot of renovations. We’re unable to use any of the furniture in the second room such as the couch the chair. Definitely unable to use the jets in the bathtub because the shower looks so old.

This could be an extremely nice place but everything is run down inside the room. The carpet on the floor was ripped up in certain place and sharp nails were sticking out and actually hurt our feet. The tub was leaking water all over the floor anytime it was used. There were a bunch of stains on sheets. The area was really beautiful and the staff were kind. We did have to ask for extra towels due to using the ones we had in the room to cover up the cut up carpet areas with the nails sticking out to protect our feet from continuing to get hurt. For the price we paid I would pick another location the next time we book a trip in that area unfortunately.

Hotel Hell

The hotel room did not at all justify the price. For $235 per night I expected a lot more and based on the pictures and description I expected a nice suite. However, what we found was carpet fraying and coming out of the floor, all lamps were damaged, the wall paper was falling off, bathroom was dirty in the tub and around the corners, there was a tripping hazard as the bathroom floor was not at the same level as the rest of the floor. The back "patio" was plastic chairs and plastic table where a neighbor would come through the broken fence to fee their cat. Then a racoon would come to eat the cat food. It was interesting to see that kind of wildlife just walking by us without caring we were there. They do not provide housekeeping, so when we needed our towels cleaned we had to hand them over. It took all day to get new towels so we could bathe. Also, we had to take out our own trash to the garbage can outside the room. The lid to the trash can was not secured. Overnight, wildlife got into the cans and got trash all over the ground. So every morning we would walk outside to trash everywhere. I do not recommend this place and I wish I could get a refund. The price didn't make any sense for these accomidations.
