"Best place in Mexico!!"
Everything about El Cid is top rate! We stayed 10 days and had the best vacation we have ever had in Mexico. There is plenty of variety in the food and it always was presented well and tasted perfect. Amada makes the best omelettes in Mexico and the fish simply melts in your mouth. Our room was spotlessly clean every day and even had extras like chocolates, tequillia, and special designs on the bedding. In Club Elite Marisela was so helpful in everything we needed to do. We will always stay at El Cid Resorts from now on every time we come to Mexico. I highly reccommend the elite plan. If anyone has any complaint about this resort they can´t be pleased anywhere.

"Nice ocean view, small for a resort, nice, need more attention in the pool, good location, clean nice beach."
This hotel has a good ocean view from the balcony, apparently every room has an ocean view too. The reception is also clean and is a rustic yet modern style, looks nice. The bellboys have excellent customer service starting with the entry and showing everything in the room to the exit as getting you a taxi/pulmonia or guarding your luggage for the day if you are not leaving town after checking out. The room was always very clean, good temperature, every thing works, well in my case except the phone. The room in my opinion was very comfortable even to stay all day swimming and in your room. The pool area is nice yet small. During a not peak season you will have more than enough space though. It has a small water slide, and plenty of those beach chairs and umbrellas. Has a small Jacuzzi for maximum 4 to 6 people. Pool is also temperature regulated. There are two things I did not like about it. One is that you cannot use the beach chairs on the sand, it is only next to the pool; you do get an perfect ocean view, but not on the part of the beach just from the hotel. It has an elevated part from the sand because the tides are high, and they do not have those chairs on the sand. Second thing was that in the pool, the waiters seemed to be very helpful if ordering, but I saw a little girl, about 2 or 3 years old who threw up outside of the pool where people put their drinks, almost in the water, and the parent just left it there and left. I told the waiters who were the only ones I saw around, if they would tell someone to come clean it up. The waiter said yes, went back to the bar. I was there going between the beach and the pool for the next 5 hours of the evening, and that throw up was never cleaned. This was the night before I left, so I do not know if they cleaned it that night. I did not try the restaurants or bar, but I did see that the prices of the bar are not too expensive and they have many different drinks and beers, and good looking food. Has free internet in room but you have to put the user name and password every time you connect, it cannot be remembered on the devices because of their system. Hotel is close to Oxxo's, bars, banks, and mini stores with beer. Overall I think this hotel is nice, calm, and comfortable, but it is too small for a resort and needs more attention in the pool area. I would recommend it.

We spent the majority of our time at the beach, where there are plenty of activities including parasailing, banana boat rides, catamaran rides and jet skies, all for a fee. Vendors who walk the beach sell everything from sunglasses to donuts to fresh fruit to jewelry. Breakfast was included in our stay, and the buffet each morning was plentiful. On Sunday, sit on the beach and watch the fireworks.

"Not bad!"
For the price, my overall experience at this hotel was pretty good. The staff was great and very friendly. The location is just a few blocks from the beach and the tourist shops. The jacuzzi and pool are rather small compared to others, but for the price you cannot complain. If you're satisfied with the cleanliness of your room, why not leave the staff a tip-- it's not necessary, but definitely highly appreciated. Beware of the individuals promoting other hotels at the entrance of the hotel building-- they are very sneaky and might try to contact you after accessing your personal information from the hotel itself. They will not leave you alone until you give way to their 'promotions' and offering of 'free stuff'. This is the only negative instance where I felt truly harassed and disrespected.

"Satisfied Customer"
Stayed from 12/10/11-12/17/11 and was very happy with all aspects of the El Cid Marina. We had a one bedroom suite and room was nice and clean with a kitchen and a King bed. Bed was a little hard for my liking but I have a Tempur Pedic at home so I am a little bias. View from balcony was great and hotel grounds were very clean and well kept. The pool was nice and the drinks were weak but tasty. We did not get all inclusive because I feel it is never a good deal and there are so many great places to eat in Mazatlan that you shouldn't feel obligated to stay and eat there. We did eat two meals at the El Cid Marina and both were very good. We did eat one meal at the El Cid Moro (La Cascada)and it was $50 and it was easily the worst meal we ate the whole time in Mexico. Mazatlan is kinda falling apart but the El Cid Marina is still very nice.
