FALSE INFORMATION ONLINE
HORRIBLE experience at this stay. Online, the house appeared to be party/event friendly as there were NO house policies listed saying otherwise. When I got there, I informed the owner out of courtesy that I was having a small gathering at the house. He said it would be fine as long as we kept the noise level down and there were less than 20 people, which I agreed to do. 5 minutes later, I get a call from the angry property manager RUDELY YELLING at me saying that no parties were allowed, and if I attempted to throw one, the cops would be called to shut it down. I even showed the owner the online listing proving that no such policies were stated. He then said that the house could only accommodate 6 people max, and anymore would result in police interference. RIDICULOUS. NOWHERE ONLINE DOES IT STATE THAT. The property manager then told me it was MY fault for not calling ahead of time and asking if I could throw a party. Sorry I’m not a MIND READER, but I just went by what I gathered from hotels.com. I then had to cancel the party I had planned for months because of the owner’s irresponsibility and lack of information on the website. I also did not receive a refund, so I decided I might as well stay the night anyways. The only positives I can say is that the house was clean, comfortable, and as described. Other than that, it was a stressful stay overall. If you want to have rules, STATE THEM ON YOUR WEBSITE!
