Awesome location and home

This is a sweet cabin and totally gorgeous and recently remodeled as everything is sparkling clean and new !! Not a fan of black for living room ceiling but I guess that’s trendy…

The place was cozy and well-equipped with all the basic amenities needed for a short stay. It’s best suited for solo travelers or couples—might feel a bit tight for a whole family. The bed was comfortable, and overall the space was clean, though I did find a used washcloth in the shower, which suggested it hadn’t been fully cleaned before my arrival. The shower itself is quite small—at 5'11" and 195 lbs, I found it difficult to move around in. That said, the porch was a definite highlight—perfect for relaxing in the evenings with a drink and enjoying the quiet surroundings.

Has potential but disappointing overall

The place is cute but small. The kitchen is not big enough for 2 people, so it's really only suitable for 1 or 2 max. That part was fine, and the living room and outdoor deck was comfortable. The bedroom is big enough, but the mattress was not comfortable. It was harder than i prefer, to the point that as a side-sleeper, my hip would hurt so bad it would wake me up and i'd have to roll over. The pillow was so light that my head would sink to the mattress. Doubling up on pillows worked until the second pillow slid out. The bathroom was the worst part. While big enough, the shower stall is a tight fit. If you are a smaller person, you'll be fine. If not, you will need to shower with your arms held close to your body. Otherwise you will hit your elbows on either the shower doors or the shampoo dispener. Or, you will bump the faucet and get super cold or super hot water. But the worst part of the stay was the sewer smell that came from the bathroom. I think it was coming from the sink, but it was bad enough that at times it would waft into the living room. I could not smell it from the bedroom so that was good. I spent most of the time outdoors and only came back in the evening so the place served its purpose i guess. That said, it is well stocked and well appointed. It's cute on the inside and although there is no view to speak of, it was quiet for the most part. There is construction going on 2 houses down so there were times one could hear a generator.

Cozy Cabin

This property and surrounding is great for a weekend get away! Peaceful, quiet & relaxing! My partner and I celebrated a birthday and job promotion here and it was perfect! Heater and A/C work great (we came when it was snowing) We cooked a meal in the kitchen no problem, all supplies were provided for basic cooking needs! We would definitely stay here again!!

Weekend getaway

My partner and I had a lovely time in this cabin. The hosts clearly put forth a good deal of effort to make it a warm and inviting stay. The kitchen was well equipped for us to meal prep and included a complimentary white wine that was a nice addition to a dinner. The area was very quiet. The ice skating rink was a stone's throw across the road and was a fun experience to explore. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely Little Place

We had a wonderful stay at The Hideout. It is well located in Long Barn, just across the street from the Lodge, and a short drive to Pinecrest/ Dodge Ridge. Our (older) kids loved the upstairs sleeping loft! Overall, a lovely little place that is well-equipped, very cute, and in a great location!

Comfy & Adorable Home in a Quiet Neighborhood

Our family of four with kids ages 11 and 8 absolutely loved this home. The downstairs bedroom had a very comfy bed for the adults and the upstairs loft was just the cutest. Our kids loved the upstairs hideout to relax, watch TV, and be in their own little world. Neighborhood was quiet, but we met some families and individuals while we were out walking or playing in the snow and everyone was very friendly. We didn't take advantage of it, but the ice rink was walking distance from the house, and had their been more snow, there would have been a great hill just behind it. Porch was large and comfy, too. We said we would love to come back but invite our best friends to stay in the home right next door, too. It was wonderful and Keith was very easy to communicate with.

Comfy little place to call home whilst visiting the lakes and quaint towns around Longbarn. The dog friendly was part of the reason we chose this location Host was available and helpful Very enjoyable visit

Fun time at The Hideout!

The Hideout was exactly as it was represented on line. Very clean, warm, comfortable and very easy to check-in/out. Gina was very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. 5-stars, would recommend the Hideout to anyone.
