Overall, the hotel was very nice. Our room was spacious and very clean. The air conditioning was not working properly in the room which led to a tumultuous night’s sleep. The elevators and hallways needed vacuuming, even early in the morning, but the room was great and that’s what really matters most. Ed, at the front desk, was absolutely the best part of our stay. He greeted us promptly, offered prosecco and was very thorough with his introduction of the hotel. Later that evening after returning from an event, Ed greeted us by name, offered us water and asked if we needed anything else. We were extremely impressed and were beyond impressed with his professionalism and courtesy. It’s a rarity these days!

Great service and beautiful hotel and rooms. Views from the corner room were fantastic...but the room gets a lot of sun and can get hot. The only observation for improvement was that the hallway carpet leading from our room on the 2nd floor (room 4) to the restaurant is very worn and needs to be replaced.

The Tennessean is a beautiful hotel with an elegant atmosphere and excellent service. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome, and the location is perfect for exploring downtown Knoxville. Overall, a great stay — I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality hotel experience in the area.
