Our honeymoon at Grand Palladium White Sands was better than anything we could have asked for. All of the staff was incredibly kind, helpful and welcoming. David and Cielo were our personal concierges and were always there whenever we needed them. They helped us with everything from food to excursions to making sure we landed home safely. We couldn’t recommend Grand Palladium more and we are so excited to come back with our family and friends!

Pools are excellent, the Japanese and the Brazilian restaurants too. The Colonial pool is the right place for small children, where the water slides are and the water is heated, as opposed to the White Sand pool, which is pretty cold in December. The secret pool is a nice place, if one is looking for quietness (adults only). The staff is friendly and helpful. Our maid was obviously grossly overworked, since most of the time she was making up the room late afternoon or in the evening, some days skipping the service. And she always put one less sheet than necessary on the additional bed. The minibar is replenished irregularly, one needs to remind them to do it. The most negative thing we experienced was the "check-in" system at the buffet restaurants, e.g. the wait to be seated. The guests have to wait to be led to a table, as opposed to just go and sit at any available table, which leads to a long wait. I suspect that the reason is insufficient number of tables and insufficient personnel to prepare them. One day the main buffet at White Sand was closed for lunch and there was about 40 minutes wait at the neighbouring pool buffet. They have a free beach/pool towel system, due to what one can see piles and piles of clean unused towels on the deckchairs and at the same time they are out of towels at the dispensing booth. One can see used towels everywhere, including on top of toilet bowls, in the bush, etc.

Some places had great food, others had very bland food. I advise for you to try different restaurants and stick with the one you like the best. We found the Nest to have the better breakfast option. The food at the white sand location was quite horrible.

Grand Palladium (Christmas Week Stay 2025) We are currently staying at Grand Palladium during Christmas week, a period when guests pay significantly higher rates and reasonably expect enhanced service, special programming, and better overall organization. Unfortunately, our experience has fallen short of those expectations. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that either management has not evolved in years or the resort is struggling operationally. Upon arrival, our taxi stopped, the driver unloaded our checked luggage, and—surprisingly—there was no staff available to assist us. For the first time at a resort of this level, I had to carry my own luggage. Inside the lobby, we were handed papers and directed without any real guidance. The check-in experience felt impersonal, and the staff member assisting us appeared more focused on selling than on hospitality or accommodation. Once we reached our room, additional issues surfaced. Likely due to humidity, the sheets were damp, and the decorative pillow on the sofa was wet and had an unpleasant odor. After contacting Expedia, our concierge Celio stepped in the following day. She deserves special mention as the only staff member who genuinely tried to help. A dehumidifier was sent, the sheets were changed, and the smelly pillow was removed. Without her intervention, the issue may not have been resolved properly. Weather is obviously not under the resort’s control, but lack of rainy-day activities is. On a full rainy day,

Our stay at Grand Palladium white sand was absolutely amazing. The resort is huge, beautiful, and surrounded by nature, which made it feel relaxing and special from the moment we arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help with anything we needed. The food was excellent for an all-inclusive resort, with a wide variety of restaurants and options. We especially enjoyed the à la carte restaurants and the buffet, which always had fresh and tasty choices. Drinks were great too, and the bartenders were fun and generous. The pools were clean and well-maintained, and the beach was beautiful, with plenty of loungers and space to relax. There were lots of activities during the day and entertainment at night, so there was never a dull moment. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job every day. Overall, this resort offers great value, great service, and a wonderful vacation experience. Love this resort. It’s really big and doesn’t feel crowded. The food is great but the best part is the people. Our concierges Cielo and David made our stay so carefree. If you want a relaxing vacation where you don’t have to worry about anything this is the place.

The room was very clean and always had a sufficient amount of drinks and towels. Our personal concierge David and Cielo were amazing! They helped us book all of our reservations and were super responsive! Everyday they’d give us daily updates on different activities going on in the resorts. They were such a big help for us! They definitely go above and beyond with their help and most definitely deserve a bonus and a raise! They made the trip super enjoyable with all their help!

We had a very good stay at the Grand Palladium Select. I’m giving it five stars mainly because the staff is extremely polite, kind, and genuinely helpful. The property is pretty clean overall, although there are a few areas that could use some maintenance. That said, it’s clear they’re actively working on improvements—some parts have been completely renovated, some areas feel brand new, and a few sections look like they’re next on the list. Once everything is finished, this place is going to be truly amazing. The beaches are very nice and the pools are great, but what really makes the experience stand out is the service. If you can, I honestly recommend leaving small tips for the wait staff and service team—those small gestures really help and are truly appreciated. Check-in was a bit delayed and rough at first, but once the concierge team reached out to me on WhatsApp, everything became much smoother and more streamlined. A special thank you to David and Cielo from the concierge team for their communication and for making sure our restaurant reservations were handled and that we were taken care of. We were greeted and treated very well by all the restaurant staff, and I want to recognize a few people specifically who made a big positive impression and whose names I made sure to remember: Lizbeth and Maria at Es Niu, as well as the kitchen team—everyone was wonderful. At Dorado, Fernando was excellent. Also, Viviana, Viri, and Diana were amazing and consistently checked in

This resort gave me one of the best vacation experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality and security were exceptional. Reception set the tone, and Martin deserves a huge shoutout—he was incredibly patient and explained everything about the resort, the restaurants, and the activities in detail. We were also assigned our own concierge team, Dave and Cielo, and they were outstanding. Whatever we needed, they handled it—from answering questions to booking our restaurant reservations. Jesús at the front desk was also extremely accommodating with reservations. They made the entire trip stress-free. The buffet and restaurants were spotless, and the staff in both the dining area and the kitchen were generous, attentive, and truly dedicated to great service. I’m genuinely grateful for this experience, and I’ll be recommending this resort to my coworkers, colleagues, friends, and family. A perfect place for a smooth, worry-free vacation.

My luggage was delayed and the hotel failed to notify me it was delivered even after I inquired multiple times. They never gave it to me and it’s been missing now for 2 weeks. They ruined my family vacation! Additionally there was construction taking place next to our hotel. There were some days when the pathways were closed so you had to walk around. Would have been good to have a prior notice.

room was fine, could of been cooler as it was still hot in there. Though we had a major issue with getting in our room the first 24hrs and they seemed to not help us until we threated to talk to manager and wanted a day no charge. very frustrating . David the consirge was good, but Ceilo was not. the issue didn't get completley fixed in the long run, and still had issues getting into our room for the rest of the stay but it worked out. no compensation was given to us which i found was not good. they should of done at least a free massage or free night, but instead gave us vouchers for hydro therapy which was a value of $50 us each. and it wasn't that great

Overall good stay. Staff was very attentive, our concierge Cielo was awesome and constantly checked on us. Carlos was great at casino night and had a very good vibe. Luis at the TRS pool was top notch. Overall bartenders and restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. Thanks to Expedia (not sure if Expedia in general or due to our Platinum status) we received an upgrade to “vip” which gave us access to TRS facilies and restaurants. The food (especially breakfast and buffets) were night and day between TRS and the other “lower-end” parts of the resort, which made our experience much more enjoyable. Unfortunately the buffet at the non-TRS properties was below par for a 5 star restaurant. Romance bungalow was very unique and neat, nice to not have neighbors above or below you. Ovearll this is a good property, and would come bacl but probably book TRS next time.
