Subpar hotel in a good area

The hotel is very dark in the common areas and hallways and it was hard to see in some locations. I stayed for 3 nights and had the maintenance crew in every day because the toilet wasn’t flushing properly. Won’t be returning to that hotel.

The hotel is outdated, creepy dark, dirty but this was not even the worst thing about it. At around 12:30 am someone attempted to open the door to my room TWICE. We got a very dirty room (pills and dust balls etc) at check in and couldn’t leave w/out penalty unless expedia authorized it, we called and was told no problem to go ahead with checking out early but they never sent the email to hotel. Unfortunately we couldn’t leave and no other room available that night. Hotel switched us next day to a clean room and apologized.

The hotel is very nice and trendy. The elevator areas and rooms are a little bit dark. I liked that the fact that the rooms had floor, and some small rug. It would be better to not have the rug. The water kept splashing out of the shower and kept the floor wet.
