The space
CHECK OUT OUR PROFILE TO VIEW ALL OUR LISTINGS ON THIS PROPERTY. The Camper is one vacation rental of many on Red Rock Canyon Retreat - a 3 acre property on the edge of Colorado Springs and at the base of the mountains. Next to your campsite is the trailhead leading into the mountains. The RV is a luxury model with all of the extra comforts. There is a shower/tub, real porcelain toilet, washer/dryer and even a fireplace. Beside you is a 100 year old cabin going through a restoration. Deer and other wildlife are everywhere. It’s a magical place where your dreams of camping and trekking through the vast mountain terrain become reality! Review from recent guest: My family loved staying here! The camper itself is very spacious, and we never felt crowded or cramped. They have absolutely everything that you need, and we were very comfortable. The outdoor space is also more spacious than we expected and we loved sitting outside looking at the mountains and watching the deer and bunnies that would wander by. We also had a couple of small camp fires in the awesome fire pit area that is provided. The area is very private and you aren't on top of others like you would be at any kind of campground. Also, it is not in a busy area, but there are many stores, restaurants, etc. within 5 to 10 minutes away. Also, Garden of the Gods, 7 Falls, Manitou Springs, etc. are just a few minutes away. We are already planning to be back in the next few months, and will absolutely stay here again. Necole is a great host, and was super helpful and responsive.
Guest access
You will have dedicated parking and private outdoor space with your own campfire setting. The entire RV is for you alone to enjoy!
Other things to note
This is a park model RV, meaning it is permanently connected to a continual water supply and sewer line with no tanks at all. There is a furnace for heating and AC for cooling. The hot water tank is about half the size of a typical house. You won't need to know anything at all about living in an RV!

Very comfortable and conveniently located!
The camper is clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. As compared to staying in a motel room, the sleeping arrangement was better for my kids. Also, the washer and dryer saved us from having to make an emergency run for new pants after an unfortunate spill 😅. The location is great for getting to attractions, but it feels secluded and private. GPS did not get us to it, but the owner responded quickly when we were having trouble finding it. Would definitely stay again!

Needs some TLC and communication to be better
We knew this was a trailer and we weren't expecting fancy; it's affordable! And I know there's been a pandemic going on and things are hard and everyone's doing the best they can... But the trailer and the process need some attention, improvement, and communication to be a good place to stay. Issues included: * No check-in information received until I called and left a message 2 hours before we were supposed to check in. Would be nice to receive info several hours beforehand, at least. * No wifi information provided. Had to ask for it. Got a text back with wifi network name and password and nothing else. Would have appreciated something like "Just so you know, the wifi is very slow. But please let us know if you need anything else" * The wifi is barely usable; low bandwidth sites might work, but nothing else. * The carpet is old and stained * The bottoms of at least 2 doors are at least 4 inches off the floor; you can actually see this in the pics if you know to look for it. Which makes the entire trailer kind of one space, sound-wise. * The steam from the shower sets off the smoke detector. No fan in the bathroom that we could find, no note to be sure the door to the bedroom is closed, just an annoying smoke alarm every shower. * The location is mixed. On the plus side, it's right near canyon open space. On the other hand, between you and the canyon is a truck yard, with various trailers and a bright light that shines in the main bedroom of the trailer. A darker curtain and/or a tree planted in the right place would help a lot. I hope the owners can up their game and make this and their other properties great places to stay.
