To start out with if you are not familiar with the area you with the area you will have e a hard time finding it. This is really a condo/ office building with the top floor as a hotel. Once you enter the parking garage that had no reference to the hotel, you need to find your way to the check in desk, go through security gates, to ask if this is where you check into your room. The hotel is very disjucted from where you park to where you check in and actually enter your room. Three elevator rides later you enter the actual hotel rooms. Once you get into your room, the view is spectacular! 40th floor in the heart of Chicago's loop. My wife and kids just loved this part. So the biggest disappointment is when we wanted to go swimming ( this was one of the big reasons we choose this hotel, it had a pool) we went down to the pool/spa area for them to tell us our kids had to be 18 or order! This was never explained on Travelocity or once we arrived at the hotel. So that was a let down, being we really wanted that to relax and enjoy the beautiful pool area. My take is the pool is really for the residents of the building and athletic club not the hotel. Other that the cold akward feeling of the hotel and amenities we felt the room was nice and the view was the real show stopper especially when we returned at the end of the day and with all of the lights in the loop.The location was great for site seeing and shopping. In the end, the hotel was not overly friendly but a fun experience.

Great views of downtown Chicago and Lake Michigan. Convenient location near Union Station, State Street and Michigan Ave. The bed was comfortable and the front desk staff were very helpful and courteous. The furniture in the room could use replacing as it was a bit banged up. The only bad experience is that our room was not cleaned one day. We were out of the room from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Somehow it got missed by housekeeping.

Desolate

Cant even say amenities are basic, not even a vending machine on location. The location is literally deserted, desolate between 5PM to 7/8 AM

While our property does see a decrease in foot traffic in the evening, we think it's okay to have a break from the hustle and bustle of the day! Our building cafe opens at 7AM and we do have an assortment of snacks available in-room for purchase. We are also working to develop more robust F&B options!
