Room Not As Described

Pros: The nice doormen. They were great assisting with transportation. Enjoyed the Michael Jordan Restaurant right off the lobby.
Cons: My room needs updating. The view and windows were really bad.
Location: The location is wonderful! All the shopping and restaurants anyone could possibly need. Michael Jordan Steak House is in lobby. Not cheap, but great!
The hotel lobby is lovely. Most of employees were very nice and helpful. I don’t exactly know why, but the room we got, was not as promoted. When we checked in, the clerk called the manager over and asked what rooms she had to put us in. I wondered if it was because I went through Travelocity, or what. We did NOT have any view, except small windows looking down on nasty rooftops. The room also needed updating. There are 2 towers in the InterContinental. One is much nicer than the other. If I had it to do over, I’d stress a room with a view, etc. in the other tower. There are many other fine hotels all in the area. I think I’ll use another hotel when I return.

close to all the shops and restaurants and river.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Shopping. Restaurants. River boat cruise -architectural tour of beautiful buildings in downtown.
Staff very helpful. Flavored ice water in lobby. Micheal Jordan bar off lobby great for drinks and light food-we had salad, meatballs and flatbread pizza. Open till 2 AM. Computer in lobby great for printing out boarding passes for flight home. Beautiful pool. Refridge in room-with snacks and drinks.

Bluesfest Stay..

Pros: The pool..
Cons: Tv remote did not work that well.
Location: Great location.. short cab or Uber to Tavern on Rush.. really cool intersection in the city.
Was fine.. about a 1/2 walk to the Bean, but only a very short stroll to the original Billy Goat Tavern on lower Wacker, pretty cool experience.

The hotel was beautiful. I was traveling with my dog & the staff was very pet friendly! The pool was gorgeous & the wine bar ENO was excellent. Michael Jordan's restaurant & Starbucks were in the hotel so I didn't even need to leave unless I wanted to go shopping. I

The beds were not nice

The puctures of the hotel that show in the website is not the same that I had. I select this hotel thinking The view would be great but for my surprise I stayed in a very bed room. This means no view at all. Also lots of nouse in this room. The terrible part for me were the beds too small, i choose 2 double beds and it was awful to sleep! The swimming pool is great!

Nice hotel close to everything

Pros: The location
Cons: The price of parking
Location: Lots of restaurants and shops. Can walk to Navy Pier
It was easy to find coming from the airport. We only stayed one night, but were pleased we could check out at noon, which enabled us to go out and explore some more.

Double Charged: "3rd Party Booking is Difficult"

Pros: Beautiful Hotel. But a 5*Hotel should have its affairs in order and not try to claim 'it's hard sometimes to work with 3rd party booking sites"
Cons: Not double charge on Travelocity pre-paid, and if the do, immediately offer something of value - not wait for it to be demanded
Terrible experience. Horrible check in, where receptionist argued with my GF about whether Travelocity booked room was pre-paid. After being presented with the receipt, her credit card was taken for incidentals. No apology for the mistake. THEN, they charged her card for the entirety of the room (again) ANYWAY, as well as put a $125 hold on her card. She was then charged $62 for incidentals (snack bar) when only $28 was actually used. Only because my GF suspected that they may have charged her ANYWAY did she immediately check her account.... and yes, Hold still in place and grossly overcharged. I called, and hold was removed. I called again, and a portion of the charges were credited back, with an apology and admittal of fault (atleast that's something) ... it took EIGHT days for the core credits to be received, and it is now NINE days and we are still waiting for the credit for the parking (I finally demanded be offset due to the issues.) In summary: ALWAYS READ YOUR STATEMENTS AND REVIEW YOUR CHARGES POST -STAY!!!

Terriffic

Pros: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. Hotel Pool
Cons: bathroom could have used touch up painting. I was charged $110 for taking 3 bottles out of the fridge to use the space and had to contest the bill (
Location: It's the most central hotel in Chicago in my experience (and we've stayed at a dozen or more Chicago hotels)
The location is the BEST yet (and we stay in Chicago hotels several times a year). It's easy walking distance to millennium park, Hancock, Navy Pier, and right by Wacker & Michigan. My son was so excited that it's next door to Dylans, his favorite candy shop. The POOL is the most amazing hotel pool. Ever. Pictures can not do it justice.
