Great staff, nice room, but no sleep!

My family and I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place hotel. The staff was friendly, the location is right in the middle of some wonderful restaurants, and the room was nice and clean. However, the outside noise level was insane! We were on the fifth floor and the windows are too thin too keep out road noise, car music, tires screeching, and people yelling/screaming. Most of this was happening between 12 - 3 am... my husband nor I got any sleep for 3 nights. Be sure to bring earplugs if you stay here.

Excellent Choice!!!

Pros: Everything
Location: Quick Uber ride to everything. Restaurants, Michigan Ave. for shopping, Wrigleyville...
My family and I went to Chicago for a Cubs game and some shopping. The location of Hyatt Place was perfect! The staff was great, but the hotel itself is even better! Our room was probably my favorite out of all hotels we have stayed at. It also had a small restaurant that we didn't get to try, but the menu looked great. We will definitely stay at the Hyatt Place again!!

Hyatt Placs

Towels that had been wet and air dryed were hanging on shower rail upon arrival to room, from prior guests. Kind of grossed me out. Constant sirens due to hotel property being right across from fire department. Not very quiet hence the reason you get complimentary ear plugs on night stand.

Beautiful hotel, view and great breakfast

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The window in the room had an amazing view and the room was comfortable and clean. The design of the hotel lobby and restaurant was beautiful. And the breakfast was delicious. Lots of options from natural meats and cage free eggs to fresh berries and any oatmeal topping you could think of. I would definitely stay there again!

Perfect for our stay

Pros: Amazing food, beautiful contemporary design. The staff was friendly and eager to help. Less than three blocks from CTA station.
Cons: Internet access is spotty. No business center.
Location: Easy walking to Navy Pier, Art Institute, downtown shopping and downtown restaurants. There are more than ten great restaurants within a block.
A beautiful hotel located a short walk away from most of downtown Chicago's sights. The free breakfast was delicious. The restaurant, Ema, was so good. Staff was always very welcoming and helpful. Nice, clean room. Free cable. Free WiFi. Great downtown view. I would definitely stay again.

We made the right choice.

Pros: Great location, excellent room, helpful and friendly staff, great value.
Cons: The free breakfast was nothing special, typical hotel buffet. We saw most guests bussing their own table. No staff the first day, one the second.
Location: Lots of great restaurants. An easy stroll to Michigan Ave and the river. Don't miss the Chicago Architecture Boat Tour, the twilight tour is the best
this was a two day stay combing pleasure and business.

Nice hotel and location - bummer remodel

Pros: location, decor, rooms
Cons: apologies for remodel, and perhaps something to help soften the annoyance of it.
Positives: This hotel is in a very good location for enjoying the city. The rooms were nice and comfortable. Negatives: We wanted a nice breakfast for our stay and paid to receive one. However because their normal restaurant was under remodeling, they offered a pitiful continental breakfast in a room that you had to pick up and go. The breakfast wasn't on par for much lesser hotels, nor was the space offered to partake in the breakfast. The lobby was under remodeling as well. We took our breakfast to a table to enjoy with our group, but it was so loud from construction that we couldn't hear the person across from us. One evening, while waiting in the lobby for our party, the restaurant/bar seemed to be having a soft opening. One manager offered us a drink while we waited, which we assumed as an amenity and appreciated in light of the hassle over the remodel. We then received the full bill from the bar. No biggie, but annoying.

Great location! Modern and clean hotel.

Pros: Style, Team, Location
Location: We used the city bikes - $9.95 for 24 hours. A great way to get around.
My fam of 4 stayed for 2 nights. Hotel being remodeled, which is the only reason why I rated 'facilities' less than perfect. Beautiful, clean and modern hotel. Very friendly and helpful front desk team. Concierge anticipated our need and hailed cab for us. Super comfortable beds. On Saturday night - late - there was a gathering of people outside that were loud, but we expected it due to the fun location...use the earplugs provided on the nightstand! :)
