The power went out around 10pm and was out until 3 or 4am. It was a bit of a hinderance as we had just returned from dinner.

Thank you for your feedback and am so sorry about the power outage. Trust me, we were suffering along with you- I really wish we had control, however it was a city-wide issue. We do hope to see you return soon!!

While the hotel itself was nice, the staff working the front desk were not very helpful or knowledgeable. They did make up for some of their blunders with a free glass of wine which took the edge of my unhappiness off a bit.

The room wasn't very fitting for the number of people we had. The pool was amazing. The breakfast was ok. The food st the bar was ok. Alcohol was cut off early to what we are used to so that was disappointing.

Very close to Union Station

Pros: We enjoyed the cleanliness and safety of the hotel. The free breakfast and free WIFI was a nice touch.
Cons: Not sure anything can be improved within their power. Like I said, the brick wall view wasn't the greatest, but it's okay.
Location: We were able to walk from Union Station a few blocks away to this Hyatt. Super close to Millennium Park and all the shopping on State St. and Michigan
This hotel was a great experience for us. We booked a last minute Travelocity deal for around $150/night for two nights. I was a little disappointed that they would not budge on upgrading us to a higher floor. I would have been willing to talk prices, but was shut down pretty quickly. The room was very nice, but the view was of a brick wall. It was deceiving as we could never tell what time of day it was. Understandable though, due to being smack in the middle of the city. The breakfast was very delicious.

Don't stay here!!!

The toilet was clogged and when we tried to call the front desk and our phone didn't work. The morning of check out housekeeping kept knocking on the door. We told them the first time that we weren't leaving until check out time. We felt like we were being rushed out. When we did check out the front desk attendant was not empathetic at all. She was acting like it was our fault about everything. She was really rude. She then said we wouldn't have to pay for parking but then they charged us anyway. I will never stay there again. I don't recommend it to anyone else. The staff was rude and didn't help us in any way.

Decent hotel with some quirks

Pros: The decor was nice and updated, the room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable.
The hotel is in a great location but depending on your room, you may have an unpleasant view of the building right next door. The staff was decent, breakfast was decent, room was decent. However, our fridge never got cold even after replacing it, our bathroom fan didn't work, and the temperature control was not accurate. The walls are extremely thin. We could hear everything from the room next door as well as the maid constantly coming in and out of the cleaning closet right outside our room.

Nice hotel in downtown area

Location: Location was great for this stay, Chicago is huge.....so I would try a different area next time!!!
The hotel was so nice, staff was very friendly & the room was very nice also! I liked that it was right downtown, however I looked right into offices, so the view was not the best. Overall this hotel was great, breakfast is included in your stay!!!! Amazing breakfast!!! Weekend Manager was so nice & friendly and was working hard to see that breakfast was well stocked, tables clean & fresh coffee!!!! Thanks for a great 1st in Chicago!!!
