"Great hotel location"
The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The free car that was offered within a 2 mile arduous was fantastic! The room was clean, but they did not clean our room in the second day. We were across from a construction zone, so the view was not great, but the insulation of the hotel kept the noise to a minimum.

"Good choice for walkers"
We rode light rail to downtown Seattle then walked to the hotel, about 10 blocks from the Westlake stop. Very nice hotel and room, tasty (though a bit expensive) breakfast. Location is at least 8 block walk to downtown shopping, and a good 20 minute walk to the Capital Hill neighborhood.

We selected this hotel on a recent visit to Seattle because our son and his wife had booked there. It is a lovely hotel, although above our usual price range. Our room was available for an early check-in - which was much appreciated.

"Can't Wait To Go Again"
I arrived early, real early, and was allowed to check in. They were expecting me. They always wanted to be of service. The breakfast was remarkable. It was very close to all I wanted t ok do or transportation to get there. I want to go back later in the year and most likely over the New Year holiday again. Great place at a great price and location.

"Nice hotel close to mayor attractions."
The only thing I didn't like is that there was too much noise from outside and other rooms. Everything else was great. We walked everywhere from the hotel. Good service and accommodation for the price.

"Beautiful, modern hotel in the heart of downtown"
Our stay at the Hyatt Olive 8 was top notch. We flew in on a red-eye from Anchorage so arrived at the hotel around 7:30 am. We asked the front desk if they could store our luggage until check-in at 4:00, but as a room was available we were invited to check in right away. So unexpected and appreciated!! We stayed in a business room, and one of the extras is a credit toward breakfast every morning. With the high WA tax and gratuity already added, we easily used the breakfast credit each day. Our king sized bed was quite comfortable, and though all the pillows were feather there were various levels of firmness to suit us. The only downside is that the hotel is adjacent to another high-rise that must be 30-40 feet away, and our room faced this building. Fortunately we could still see the beautiful city off to the right while standing at the window. The location was perfect. We were in Seattle for shopping and tourist outings, and as the hotel is located on 8th between Olive and Pine (one block from Pike) there were many stores and restaurants within several blocks. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory twice and loved the Wild Ginger (Thai) and the Dragonfish (sushi). And coffee shops everywhere! If you are from out of state, be sure to tell this to cashiers when checking out at retail stores. Most will not charge you their state tax if you ask about it and present your driver's license. It saved us quite a bit on the clothes our daughter purchased.

Well-read travelers generally know Seattle's popular attractions, the Space Needle and Pike Place Market. That said, it's worth checking out the University of Washington, another excellent Seattle attraction.

Cascade is a favored spot to spend a few days in as in and around it there are a great selection of activities to keep you occupied. Make sure you go out and experience such great Seattle attractions as the Experience Music Project Museum and Seattle Center.

Situated in and around Cascade you will find the excellent attraction that is the Columbia Center, as well as a good assortment of accommodations in which to sit back and relax at the end of the day, such as the Hotel Sorrento, Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle, W Seattle, Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle and The Westin Seattle.

Cascade has a number of hotel options, but you might like to stay within the vicinity of both the Marion Oliver McCaw Hall and the Seattle Public Library. Make a choice from the Grand Hyatt Seattle and Courtyard Seattle Downtown Pioneer Square within close proximity to the Marion Oliver McCaw Hall, or the Hyatt At Olive 8 and Renaissance Seattle Hotel to be nearer to the Seattle Public Library.
