We selected this hotel on a recent visit to Seattle because our son and his wife had booked there. It is a lovely hotel, although above our usual price range. Our room was available for an early check-in - which was much appreciated.

"Beautiful, modern hotel in the heart of downtown"
Our stay at the Hyatt Olive 8 was top notch. We flew in on a red-eye from Anchorage so arrived at the hotel around 7:30 am. We asked the front desk if they could store our luggage until check-in at 4:00, but as a room was available we were invited to check in right away. So unexpected and appreciated!! We stayed in a business room, and one of the extras is a credit toward breakfast every morning. With the high WA tax and gratuity already added, we easily used the breakfast credit each day. Our king sized bed was quite comfortable, and though all the pillows were feather there were various levels of firmness to suit us. The only downside is that the hotel is adjacent to another high-rise that must be 30-40 feet away, and our room faced this building. Fortunately we could still see the beautiful city off to the right while standing at the window. The location was perfect. We were in Seattle for shopping and tourist outings, and as the hotel is located on 8th between Olive and Pine (one block from Pike) there were many stores and restaurants within several blocks. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory twice and loved the Wild Ginger (Thai) and the Dragonfish (sushi). And coffee shops everywhere! If you are from out of state, be sure to tell this to cashiers when checking out at retail stores. Most will not charge you their state tax if you ask about it and present your driver's license. It saved us quite a bit on the clothes our daughter purchased.

"2nd time here. Two thumbs up "
This is our second trip to Seattle in less than two months. We usually like to change things up but our last two getaways have been up here for seahawks games (go hawks!!!) and my wife & I are falling in love w this city... The people, the food, city vibes... all amazing. Our motif experience was no different than our first. Everything top notch. When we return to Seattle in the near future there's no question where we'll be staying at. The motif offers exceptional service, clean rooms & comfy beds, and it is so central to all the things we love to do when we're up in emerald city.

"Stayed on 12/31/16"
This hotel more than exceeded our expectations. We stayed over NYE and never heard any noise from within the hotel. The suite was spacious and I also liked the location of the bathroom near the front of the suite. We brought our dog and there is a dog park literally around the corner. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Great location & proximity to lots of restaurants, with a Starbucks located less than a block away. And not just any Starbucks, it's the Starbucks Reserve Roastery & Tasting Room.

"Great location!"
Hotel Max has amazing energy. It's upbeat, stylish and in a great location. You can walk to several points of interest or to public trans. Samuel was very helpful in making sure I was settling in and pointing out places to go and things to see. Linz was wonderful in helping me get my things up to my room and valeting my truck. I enjoyed chatting with Linz in the lobby when he had a spare moment. I will be back Max!

    Benaroya Hall Hotels

With its shimmering high rises and mixed-use neighborhoods interrupted by wooded hills and boat-lined waterways, Seattle is a city of riches, both man-made and natural. The wealth of mountain vistas and temperate greenery has been around a lot longer than the fortunes made in high-tech industries, but everyone shares a love of cozy coffee houses, welcoming public spaces, and eclectic events despite all of the rapid growth and change, making Seattle a dynamic tourist destination you won't soon forget.

    Benaroya Hall

Home of the Seattle Symphony, Benaroya Hall occupies a premium location in Seattle's downtown entertainment and retail core. Renowned for its technology-infused acoustics, the building also features major glass pieces by local artist Dale Chihuly. The area packs great entertainment, shopping, and transportation links within a five-block radius, as well as some of Seattle's best tourist spots. Hotels near Benaroya Hall are steps away from several live performance theaters and live music venues, and a few blocks from Seattle's historic Pike Place Market, home of a legendary fish market with shouting, fish-throwing workers as well as cozy restaurants, epicurean boutiques, and shops offering local curios and souvenirs.

It's also a quick stroll to the Seattle Art Museum. In addition to cheap hotels close to Benaroya Hall, the neighborhood is also home to the city's celebrated Rem Koolhaas-designed central public library, as well as the Westlake Center shopping mall and surrounding retail district. As if that weren't enough, hotels in walking distance to Benaroya Hall are never more than a few blocks from the Metro Bus Tunnel, where you can catch express buses to Capitol Hill, the University District, and other Seattle neighborhoods with major tourist appeal.
