The way hotels should be..

Pros: Lives up to the Fairmont expectation.
Cons: Separate stall and door for the commode.
Location: It's right down-town so typical access conveniences and difficulties. If you can walk the hills it is in a convenient location for walking and the I5.
New, clean, great service, friendly. Only slight down-grade is bathroom does not have a separate commode stall - which is something many Fairmont hotels feature.

Well located in downtown Seattle

Very nice hotel and situated in a great spot in the downtown area. Within walking distance of most places you'd want to visit (you're only 2 blocks from the Monorail that takes you to Seattle Center...Space Needle). Plenty of restaurants and shopping all around. A 10-minute downhill walk to Pike's Place but you may want to take a circuitous route back otherwise you have to endure a 3-block walk up a steep hill. Great staff at the hotel, great bar downstairs (Shuckers). We would definitely stay there again!

Our hotel room was lovely.  Our only criticism is the fact we had to purchase internet service.  We felt for the price we paid for the room,  it should have been included.  WiFi is available just about everywhere for free.

Thanks to this hotel making my stay perfect

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: No free Internet
I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. It's a bit old fashioned, but comfort and cozy and staffs are all very friendly. Me and my wife spent 5 nights there celebrating birthday and it did adding highlights to our memories. Thanks again!

the hotel was extremely well appointed and the staff was very nice/helpful.

Pros: Quiet
This hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel was refined without being overly stuffy. The staff was very attentive on every level. We could easily walk to many of the tourist attractions from its location. We also could easily access the interstate/thoroughfares for our road trip. It will be the hotel for us for future stays.

this hotel made me feel welcome

Pros: Close restaurants, beautiful lobby and restaurant
Cons: No free Internet, Noisy, low quality pillows
Excellent service at the hotel, beautiful lobby, surroundings and restaurant. Breakfast was excellent. Room was a little dated, carpet somewhat worn, some stains on furniture. Bed was high quality but pillows were very uncomfortable (no down pillows)

Classic elegance

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, old style elegance
Can I give this place more than five smiley faces...I wish I could. The overnight stay after a cross county flight began with a surprise upgrade to an executive suite! The staff was efficient, gracious and accomodating in every way, professional without being pretentious. The room was wonderful, room service timely and with a great quality product. The service continued after my check out as they tended to my luggage while I awaited the next part of my trip. I can't wait to stay again on my next trip to Seattle.

Old fashioned elegance without pretense.

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
My brief stay began with a surprise upgrade to an executive suite. With the exception of a few hiccups from housekeeping my stay could not have been better. The staff at every level could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The grand old hotel has the style and grace from another to time with all the conveniences of today. I can't wait to visit again!

Great Relaxing Stay

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, great staff
Cons: No free Internet, expensive bar with no lower priced alternatives
Everything was terrific. The gym was great, the pool was terrific, Attentive staff, great ammenities, perfect location downtown, walking distance to nearly everything. The bar near the lobby was a bit pricey and didn't have very much in the mid to low price range. I don't mind spending 10 bucks on a good glass of fairly good wine but I would like to have less expensive alternatives. I also feel like a room at this hotel should have complimentary wifi; Especially at the price point of the room.
