This is one of the best hotels in Seattle. An iconic hotel that has kept up with the times. Amazing staff, great rooms, and is so convenient to the best Seattle has to offer. And, great nearby dining options. I stayed in a suite with my two sons, and it was perfect.

Fair for Fairmont

We were not given the type of room we had reserved (which was stated specifically in the confirmation email). The towels in the room were worn and frayed. In the women's locker room, the swimsuit dryer was not operational. Hallways were very cold.

deluxe room with double beds???

We booked a Deluxe Double room with 2 beds for 4 guests. When it came time to go to bed, it became apparent the beds were tiny (they were only full beds). My husband kept falling out of bed with me and my children did not have enough room to share a bed either. We explained the situation to the front desk who offered us a 1 bedroom suite with a sofa bed which sounded nice. Hoever the sofa bed was miniscule and only about 4 feet long which meant my daughter had to lie diagonally and my husband and I had to share a bed with our teenage son which meant we were packed liked sardines. When we explained the situation to the front desk they did not want to help any further without us paying extra for a larger room. They even had the audacity to say we should have booked 2 rooms! for the 2nd night, I requested a roll away bed. Initially it did fit in but they found a very narrow and short bed that just fitted in the room if we pushed all the furniture against the wall. We were very disappointed with the whole experience as Fairmont is supposed to be a luxury brand but my kids were sleeping in small camping beds. Why advertize a deluxe room with double beds and allow the website to book for 4 guests if in fact it is only meant for a 2 person occupation? We had two very bad nights of sleep with the upheaval of moving rooms and moving all the furniture around. I think it only fair that this stay be reimbursed.

Great except for the "Urban Experience Fee"

Most everything was lovely, but there was a mustiness in the room. That prob can't be helped but it affected my allergies a bit. Otherwise, not loving the Urban Experience Fee per night. No idea what that means and wasn't part of the original price (I'm sure it's in the byline agreement, but that's shady). Just put it in the actual price and I can judge accordingly. Aside from that very friendly and helpful at every turn.

Downtown elegance with wonderful staff

Outstanding stay at this elegant property. Very friendly staff went out of their way. Great location downtown. Gorgeous lobby bar with craft cocktails. Highly recommend.
