At check in, the employee “John” was indifferent at best. The room is noisy; movements in other rooms transfer through the walls. Did not bother with the single 15% off breakfast coupon (for a two-night stay).

Portola Hotel & Spa at Monterey Bay
A little confusing to find the pool, it was in a different building so you have to leave the main building and walk across a walkway to access to pool/ spa and gym. Not a big deal but unexpected.
