We needed an overnight in Riverside and were very pleased with Simply Home. Clearly remodeled with perfect updates The room was very clean and nicely furnished. You can tell the room was well thought out to accommodate guests. Quick cup of coffee to start the day. Definitely would come back.

Nice for the price.

Pros: I stayed the weekend & it was quiet. No loud partyers. The room itself was large, with hardwood floors (no worrying if carpet is really clean).
Cons: More attention to cleaning. Although fairly clean, the floor under the bed looked like it had been missed. The couch definitely could be cleaned.
Location: Area was near a shopping center. Many stores, a grocery store and restaurants. Close to the freeways.
I chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced & close to my daughter's place whom I was visiting. I read previous reviews and was a little hesitant. Some mentioned the office was rude. I found the gentleman there very friendly and accommodating. Room 301 is a king suite. which I got because it was a tad larger for not much price difference The room was pretty clean. There were some spots that had been missed in the corners, but overall it was clean. Because a previous reviewer from a couple years ago mentioned bed bugs, I pulled the sheets off the bed and looked.. None. The sheets were worn somewhat, but crisp and clean. However, the couch in the room was rather worse for the wear, with some stains and worn out. Thus the 3- "OK" rating for cleanliness. The room itself had a nice TV, mini fridge and microwave. All worked well.The A/C worked very well, which was important as there was a heat advisory in the area, temps up to 108. The fridge worked so well that the ice I got Fri. night & put on the first shelf (not in freezer) was still ice on Sun. night. It was previously said that they charge for ice..technically yes, the machine takes a quarter, but as I got to it, the office gives you the quarter. The area is a mix of retail (a large, lit shopping center across the street) & lots that are unoccupied. I did see a couple transients walking down the street, but not loitering a the hotel. I felt safe staying alone. Some road noise, bring earplugs. I would stay again.

cheap but trashy

We wished we had spent more on a nicer hotel the minute we walked in the door. The room was dirty and worn down. The chain lock on the door was broken. The floors looked as if they hadn't been vacuumed. Pay extra and get a nicer hotel!!!
