Ski-in Ski-Out , Walk to Town from Cedars Townhome!

Our townhome has two large bedrooms on the 3rd level, each with a full bathroom. The master bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the courtyard below. It has a queen bed, TV/DVD, dresser, rocking chair and a full bathroom. The west bedroom has a queen bed as well as a bunk bed with two twins. It has a dresser, TV and full bathroom. The kitchen and dining room are on the second level and the living room with its gas fireplace and entertainment center are on the entry level. A quarter bath is located near the dining room. The living room includes a full sofa (which folds out to a queen bed) a love seat, gas fireplace and entertainment center. The main entrance to the townhome is on the courtyard and there is a deck off the living room that overlooks it. A single car garage equipped with sleds is located a few steps below the living room.

This is our home away from home and it is equipped with everything a traveling family would need. The interior furniture and color scheme are warm and inviting. The ability to to be within a minute or two of the front door after skiing, hiking or swimming is invaluable, especially for families. We love it!.

Keywords: The 'Cedars' townhome development is just below Beaver Run Resort and faces the slope & the Quicksilver Lift at the base of Peak 9. This location on Peak 9 is a short walk to town, to hiking, biking, sledding, restaurants, the Riverwalk Center, bus and shuttle lines, and the Upper Village pool and hot tubs. This three level townhome looks out over a landscaped courtyard and has a one car garage. Updated throughout in 2006, it is our warm and comfortable 'home away from home'. Breckenridge is a fantastic getaway both in summer and in winter! From our front door, it takes less than 2 minutes to walk to the slope (across the courtyard) where you put on your skis, & ski 100 feet downhill to the lift line!

I hope this review is helpful for future renters. We try to stay at the Cedars when we come to Breck due to the location of the ski lifts. You really can’t beat the location. We are a family of four and like to eat at the house and chill after a long day of skiing. So we actually stay in the units we rent quite a bit and rarely eat out.There were some small things that were really annoying about this stay that I haven’t experienced with past Cedar condo rentals.There was not a single fan in the entire unit. Since there is no forced air, the entire unit became a hot box and was really difficult to sleeping until we got the air temp just right. As I said earlier, we like to cook and all the utensils and cookware looked like those you would find in a dorm. They just need to be replaced.Then there were several little annoyances— dead batteries in the remotes, dead light bulbs, non-functioning bathroom vents, curtain rods that were coming apart or wouldn’t allow the curtains to fully close. The master bath drain was clogged so I had to go to city market for drano. Half of the sinks didn’t have hand soap. No dish soap (had to buy). Nothing to clean the countertops (had to buy spray). If the manager/owner would address these issues, it would be an easy 5 star stay.Hope this helps you prepare for your future stay.

Location is Perfect!

Property is steps from the Quicksilver lift and is a close but private location. Definitely would stay here again. Walk to town is 5 minutes and close to restaurants. Unit is comfortable and has necessary amenities. Owner was helpful and extremely responsive with any questions.

True ski in-ski out

After so many places that say they are, but aren’t this is a true find in Breck. Right off Quicksilver lift. There are a lot of stairs inside so tired ski legs be warned. Only thing I’d suggest is having those bathroom necessities. Little soaps, lotions, shampoo/conditioner would be nice.

walking distance to quicksilver lift

This was the most convenient location we've ever stayed before at any ski resort as it was a short walk to the lift w/o needing a shuttle or drive to the base. This means we could eat at the condo and not be forced to grab an expensive lunch on the mountain due to the convenience factor alone... awesome. Julie was easy and quick to respond to text messages as well. Great communication.

Great location to slopes!

We had a great trip; walk to the slopes is 2-3 minutes through the condo complex and then you just pop on your skis and head down. Very easy walk to town as well. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent location

If you are looking for a true ski-in ski-out place this one can’t be beat. Just a short walk to the slope and then ski down to the lift. The owner was very quick to respond to my emails. We had no issues to address while we’re there. The property was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The decor is commensurate with a skiing lifestyle. Sturdy and comfortable. We would certainly stay there again.

Great location and host!

This condo had everything that you could need or want while enjoying your stay! The location was perfect for skiing - only a few minute walk and you were at the lift, close proximity to main st., across the street from Beaver Run Spa :). The host was wonderful and responded quickly to any questions we had. Things to consider - the beds/pillows are not the best, be prepared that the front drive may not be plowed early in the morning and you may not be able to get out if there was heavy snow - it all worked out for us, but just to consider. We loved Julie's place and would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location for Quicksilver lift

This cozy property is a great place to stay if you’re anything like us and plan to do a lot of skiing. The kitchen is workable and the dining room easily accommodates 6 adults (there were only 4 of us). The beds are not comfortable nor were the pillows but after a full day of skiing that mattered a little less. We were disappointed to find out the week of our trip that the fireplace was non-functioning. Something to consider is that the hot tub is not close nor walkable when soaking wet. It is in very close proximity to The Maggie and other restaurants and ski rental shops.

Very clean. Kitchen fully stocked. Has washer and dryer. Area near the front door to store skis and boots. Less than a minute walk to the slopes. You can ski down to Quicksilver or walk up to Beaver Run. This Cedars unit is located next to Village road but noise was never a problem. Close to Village Ski School and Blue River Sports. Single car garage but you can park second car on premises with pass. Julie the Host was awesome! Easy to book, quick to respond to any questions, very friendly! Yes as some reviews have mentioned, the decor is more rustic and some fixtures need updating but if you want a place that is clean, close to the slopes and town, and reasonably priced, you can’t go wrong with Julie’s place! I would definitely stay again!

Perfect family vacation

Clean, on slopes, near town, and responsive host. What more could you want? We really enjoyed our stay. We had 2 girls 7 and 10 who learned to ski at the village ski school which is literally right there. It was ~2 min walk to the training area. Could not have picked a better place.

Awesome trip

Had a wonderful time at Breckenridge, even with warming temps making the snow slushy. The condo was exactly as described and perfect for our stay. Will definitely consider staying here again if/when we come back. The entire process was super easy. Unit was stocked with plenty of towels, TP, paper towels, condiments, spare blankets. Beds were comfortable and holy cow, the hot water is hot. Location to slopes and Main Street is excellent.
