Unusual hotel, centrally located.

Pros: Cleanliness and location.
Cons: No idea.
Location: There is a new shopping mall within two blocks, with upscale shops. The gorgeous Church of Christian Science & fountain are across the street.
The hotel's location is good in that it is handy to getting to sites. The fact that the building's structure is very long and only two-stories high makes it unusual----for Boston. It was built in 1962. Our room's bathroom's electrical switches has obviously been reconfigured from the original. The room was spacious and the large window could be opened to allow in fresh air. Staff was very helpful and alert.

Affordable, down town.

Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: Not enough electrical outlets near tv. Tv was unplugged to make coffee. Pool closes a little early, 8PM.
Location: FENWAY PARK Cheese Cake Factory, Cold Stone Creamery On the Orange line Sam Adams Brewery and Doyles Pub near by
Basic motel, safe, and conviniant. Outdoor pool wonderful in summer after hot day at Fenway.

Not a Good Hotel

The staff was the only thing good about this hotel. The bathroom sink was outside of it. So you had to grab the door knob before washing after using. Plus it was like you were getting ready to take a shower while using the bathroom since it was cramed together in a small room. The beds were hard and the rug makes your feet black!! Mostly everything in the room was broken. They need to do a serious undate on everything. They charge you for parking when the daily rates changed from 129 one night to 159 the second. The fee is 29 every night you use the garage! this hotel should be condemned! Horrible, totally horrible!!

Close to Public Transportation and Fenway

This hotel looks like the 1970s but if you need a bed to sleep and a place to shower and watch TV, this is a great deal.

Great location!

Staff and accommodations were great and can't beat the price...my only suggestion/complaint would be the room was cold.. I think this was because we were on the first floor and there's a parking deck underneath us. we were in town when it was only 10 degrees. we plan on staying here again but will ask for a higher floor if we go in january again!

Great Location and Service. Clean and Comfortable!

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, center of midtown, pool, clean bathroom and shower, hair dryer, nice tv, comfortable bed, nice staff
Cons: No free Internet, no breakfast, expensive parking, no wifi
We traveled to Boston randomly, meaning didnt book a hotel before we left and my husband stopped here first and wanted to get a room since it was the cheapest looking hotel in the area. I was suspicious and went in to check a room before we booked and was very pleased. Yes, the outside looks old but I think it was the look they were going for. The bathroom was very clean and especially the bathtub which is definitely my biggest issue with any hotels usually. The bed was huge and comfortable and our flat screen TV was big. I wish we had a mini fridge and microwave in the room but thats about the only thing I can complain about. I just went and used a microwave they had by the front desk. Its right across the street from the Museum of Art and has a huge central walkway with a huge pool(not for swimming) and fountains. Walking distance to the trains and shopping. We walked everywhere though. Oh and you get a discount if you have AAA. I didnt like paying 15-18 dollars for parking everyday either but Boston is expensive so this was a good deal.

Very helpful staff. Lack of room heat was an issue.

Pros: excellent staff help
Cons: No free Internet
It appears either the Midtown Hotel heat is on or air conditioning is on, we found that our room was uncomfortable in the evening. Evidentially with a high 70 or low 80 degree day they are in the air conditioning mode and do not turn the heat back on for 50s during the night. We were sure glad they had extra blankets in the closet.

The staff was excellent but the hotel is very old and the beds are older and very uncomfortable. However you can't beat the location!

You can not beat the location. However the beds are very uncomfortable. The hotel is old and the room need to be remodeled. The common areas were in the process of being remodeled and they were starting to look great. The hotel staff was excellent they were friendly and extremely helpful.
