This is the second citizenM I have stayed at, and I must say I have loved their concept as well as their location in both Boston and Chicago. The only minus thing I could say would be. I wish they had coffee machines in the room.

The day we arrived, noticed the comforter, under the cover, had blood stains on it. Gross! Did call down to front desk and they brought us a new one but that should have been caught by the cleaning staff before it was put on our bed!

The entire staff goes above and beyond especially Sam and jack. They were amazing in recommending places to try. We loved our bed, view and the close proximity to downtown and cambridge. We look forward to staying here next time

I missed the 11:30pm train but thankfully Citizens is right next door. I was able to book the room and check in within 10 minutes. I was so happy with my room, I had an amazing view. Nice clean shower and space for a single person or couple. Will always stay at Citizens when I go to Boston now!

Hotel room was small but I was a solo traveler. It was good enough. Bed was super comfortable and lined up along three walls. Night shade was amazing. The North Station subway stop, plenty of restaurants and a Star supermarket were downstairs. Faneuil Hall and Old North church were nearby. The mini refrigerator didn’t cool at all. This was disappointing. I was offered use of a hotel fridge but it’s not convenient. Luckily I didn’t need to bring medication that needed refrigeration for this trip. There is no kettle or microwave in the room. However, there was a microwave in the breakfast area. You can refill water bottles in bar area as well. Overall, I would definitely return to this hotel cuz it was clean and convenient.

ALMOST perfect!

We (my husband & I) MOSTLY had a great stay. The staff was friendly & helpful. The room was clean. The view was WOW! The bed was so comfy! The location was AWESOME...in the North End & not too far from the airport. Here is what ruined the almost perfect stay...maybe it's my fault, maybe not. It REALLY SUCKED that you have to depend on the iPad for everything, especially the TV. When we first got in the room, there was an annoying, incessant beeping because there was a wire loose for the charger, & the iPad kept making the noise. Luckily, when I called the front desk, they were very polite & helpful & sent maintenance to come up right away & fix it. Great! So, that was fixed, but my iPad never did connect to the tv. I called the front desk again (sorry). The lady said that she reset the iPad. That didn't do anything. She told me to turn the TV on & off with the TV remote...nothimg changed. They offered to send maintenance again, but we were tired, frustrated, & embarrassed, so we said no, don't worry about it. I should have changed rooms, but we didn't want to deal with that since we were only going to be there one more day. The iPad worked for the curtains, lights, etc...just not the TV. Also, I would just suggest this hotel for solo travelers, close family, or couples (maybe not new couples..if you haven't been in close proximity, bathroom wise).

Hands down AMAZING

Our stay was amazing from start to finish! The check in staff was super helpful. Our room was ready earlier than expected which was great after travel. The hotel was close to everything, great food, great shopping and of course right beside TD Garden. The best part was the view from our room. Get the downtown view it’s absolutely worth it! Also the checkout staff was amazing and super happy to hold our bags in check out day. We will be returning in January for our anniversary trip and some hockey at the Garden!

The hotel is very nice but I think they went too far with the tech stuff and forgot to include things that are staples for hotels. Like a working fridge or a microwave or even ice to keep drinks cold. There was a note and some cups that said get water out of the sink. For the price it would have been nice to be able to keep my water bottle chilled.

For my birthday, I picked a random city that I had never been to and I landed on Boston. Mainly, because part of my criteria for choosing was safety and walkability. Now, at the time, I had no knowledge of the city or any friends that could show me around. I came across citizenM and liked the city view from the hotel. So, I decided to give it a go. And it did not disappoint! Check-in was seamless with the self check-in tablets and keycards. I chose the city view and our room was on the 14th floor. Waking up and falling asleep to the beautiful architecture was amazing. The room was clean and modern. And it could be controlled from your phone or the provided Ipad. There were several conveniences about this hotel that I discovered along the way. The building is attached to the TD Arena, the North Station (subway), an underground supermarket, Starbucks, multiple restaurants, and several bars. CitizenM is also a quick ~15 min walk over to the North End ("Little Italy"). My wife and I walked over there each morning and night for food and drinks. In the morning, we went to Mike's Pastry for cannoli. At night, I visited the original Regina Pizzeria. We caught a couple comedy open mic nights on Hanover street. And after we walked back, I had a couple night caps at the Greatest Bar across the street from the hotel. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar on the fourth floor with a patio overlooking the West End. We loved Boston and will definitely come back to citizenM!!!
