My review may seem somewhat contradictory, in that I found numerous aspects of the property just fine, but sadly one aspect negated everything else, viz.... The hotel seems to think it is in AIRLINE, and operates its reservation system accordingly by OVERBOOKING and then turning away guests who have a confirmed reservation. This happened to my sister on Oct 11, and it ruined our entire stay in Boston. I will save you the details of her awful evening. In short, you cannot trust the hotel to have the room when you arrive, even if you are in the time window where you are required to pay for it if you no-show. They will give the room away to someone else. On top of that, their automated system still charged us a no-show fee after they had given away the room, even though we had shown up. It was bizarre and quite sad. The employees themselves seem aghast at the policy, but the moronic higher ups persist with this practice. After two failed phone calls attempting to clean up this mess, I finally was put in touch with a competent staff member (thank you!) who was able to give us the refunds we were promised by a well-intentioned manager. The only other thing I'd note is that our room, seemingly a standard king size room, was tiny, and something akin to a high end dorm room. Maybe that's fine for some, but we struggled to unpack, and spent only a single night there because of the aforementioned screw up with my sister's reservation. Buyer beware here.

Great Location to TD Garden, but Very Small Rooms

The hotel’s location is fantastic — just steps from TD Garden, making it perfect if you’re in town for an event. It’s also an easy walk to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, which was a nice bonus. No onsite parking, but several garages in walking distance. Check-in was quick through the app, and for those who can’t use it, there were iPads in the lobby for self check-in and a hotel representative assisting. The main floor had several comfortable seating areas and a stylish bar that created a welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spotless but extremely small. The sink was oddly placed just inside the entrance since there wasn’t space for it in the bathroom. The bathroom door opened inward and hit the toilet, so we had to step into the shower to close it — definitely inconvenient. The shower was large enough for two people, but there wasn’t much space afterward, so we had to dry off in the room. Everything was controlled by an iPad or the app — from the lights and curtains to the TV. We thought it was cool, but for the less tech-savvy guests there were traditional switches on the wall and a remote in the drawer under the bed. The bed was built into the back of the room, pressed against the window, so the person on the inside had to climb over to get out. It felt cozy, though, and the bed was very comfortable. Overall, the hotel was clean, modern, and in an unbeatable location, but the room size and layout didn’t quite justify the high price.

A modern accommodation but the area can be extremely busy. If there are activities at TD garden, Celtics, Bruins or music concerts you can hardly get in or out. The street in front of the hotel will be blocked at times and uber or Lyft will have no access to the hotel. The rooms are modern, but very tiny. We will not book this hotel again.

I stayed 4 nights. Food: The $20 buffet breakfast is not worth half of that money. No oatmeal pot. No pancake machine. Only scrambled eggs; most hotels breakfasts have flat eggs for you to put on an English muffin. When I asked if there were any other styles of eggs the guy looked at me like I was crazy and said we only do scrambled, no other styles ever. Room: the view was incredible, we had the 12th floor facing the city and skyscrapers. However, it felt like a closet. One plug in entire room. Bed shoved sideways against window because the room width prevents walking around the bed. The view is the only thing worth paying for here. I'm not going to stay in a citizenM hotel ever again because of the breakfast and tiny rooms.

Such a convenient location. Right above major subway and train line, and connected to TD center. Very walkable, close to food markets, attractions, and dining. Staff were very polite and greeted you every time you came back. Always available for anything we needed. The room was equipped with everything and the iPad controls were a nice touch. Great breakfast spread and common areas. Would definitely stay again!

Great location! We walked just about everywhere, but it is also adjacent to a train station and subway line for further outings. The hotel has a nice lounge area on the 4th floor with balcony overlooking the city. The room was tiny, but nice. It worked well for us since we just wanted a place to sleep and didn't spend a lot of time in the room.
