Nice Break in Boston

Pros: Very pleasant staff and proximity to so much.
Cons: Attention to detail is needed. We had a radio and electrical outlets (on a lamp) that did not work and other minor disparities.
Location: Wonderful! In the heart of Mass. General Hospital, a brief walk to a MBTA station or to North Station. History, dining and exploring abound.
Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill is a comfortable hotel that is a bit dated. Every member of the staff I spoke with was pleasant and helpful. The location is wonderful and even better if you have a room that has a view of the Charles River. We enjoyed the opportunity to walk around town -- so close to the Charles River, MIT, Boston Commons, Faneuil Hall, great restaurants, and so much more. The room was well furnished and the bed and chairs were comfortable.

Cost is high and no amenities

The bathroom had mold no refrigerator and for the price just not worth it. Only good thing was the staff. He gave me an upgrade which consisted of water. I'm happy there were no homeless in the lobby . But it was warm

Nice hotel close to many attractions and subways

Pros: Close proximity to 2 subways. Very safe neighborhood. Convenient to all attractions.
Cons: Some subway and ambulance noise. Not sure what can be done!
Location: Easy walk to Beacon Hill area , Boston Commons and Gardens and other attractions.
Chose this hotel because of location and price. Busy time in Boston and hard to find rooms for a family. We thought the location near Beacon Hill was great for accessing the subways and walking. Near MGH,many people around and always felt safe walking back at night. Not much night life in this area, would recommend The Copley area or Long Wharf . Great location between the red line and blue lines, 5 minutes to Harvard, 5 minutes to Quincy Market!

Decent hotel close to Mass General

Pros: Close to downtown attractions.
Cons: Quieter rooms, some type of noise blocking for ambulances.
Location: Decent location, 10-15 min walk from Aquarium and Quincy Market, 10 min walk to Boston Public Gardens.
Decent hotel. Online photos led us to believe it was more upscale than it actually was, but everything was satisfactory. Being close to the hospital, there was a LOT of sirens all day/night from incoming ambulances. Rooms were clean and pleasant otherwise. The pool was just okay -- looks much more "posh" in the hotel photos than how it actually is.

No accommodations!

The Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill location is great. However, the staff does not seem to know what is going on. I had thought breakfast was included in our package. The lady at the counter looked at our reservation and agreed it was. She was going to fill out the paperwork and send up our breakfast passes. We never received them. I asked the lady (a different employee) at the counter the next morning and she said it was not part of our package. We rented bikes and asked the gentlemen at outside where we could put them so they would be secure. One guy said we could put them in the storage room. We waited...he disappeared and never came back. So, I asked another guy. He said we do not have a storage room, but there are bike racks in the garage. He asked one of the guys to show us where the bike racks were, but he didn't know. So, he took us... There is not a refrigerator in the room, so do not take leftovers back to the room. PIOINTLESS. Most restaurants in Boston have large servings...so beware of portions. I hate wasting food, but that is what happened on this trip! No accommodations for airport. They will give you a website to have a shuttle pick you up. But do not expect anyone at the hotel to help you out with getting you to and from the airport!! NO HELP AT ALL!! WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN!!!

Would return

Pros: Location, beds, staff.
Cons: Different pillows - pillows went completely flat with pressure.
Good experience overall. We were moving between hotels and they let us checkin a little early. Beds were too hard for my daughter but just right for me. About 1 1/2 blocks from metro. Hotel restaurant meals were mixed - some very good, some just ok. Other venues for food in the area. Great little streets with shoppes to explore close by. Would stay again. Taxi to airport slightly less than $20 for 2 of us.

The staff seemed unconcerned about customer service.

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: hard bed, unwelcoming staff
I reserved a King Executive room but was given a small double bed room. The front desk staff where not apologetic for this error and seemed to be irritated that I wanted them to give me the room I reserved. I arrived at the hotel around 10pm and needed to eat. The bar was still serving food, so I went there to eat. When walked into the bar there was no bartender behind the bar and one person sitting at a corner table watching TV. After a few minutes that person got up and went behind the bar. I ordered a drink and he didn't have any glasses so he had to leave to get some. Over the next couple of days I ate at the restaurant several times. Every time, the service was extremely slow. Twice at breakfast I was give carafes of coffee that where almost empty and during one of the dinner meals the waitress never came around to give me a refill on my drink. For the most part, the food was good, except for the turkey club sandwich (dry cold turkey). I was very pleased with the cleanliness staff and the condition of my room. I would stay at this hotel again because cleanliness is more important to me than service and it is close to where I travel for business.
