Some things I missed from Hyatt, like bathrobes and a warm pool. Warm pool! Even my ever courageous grandchildren can swim in cool water, but they never even went into this one. Need to turn it up a bit. Rooms were very nice, redone, but the book lights didn’t work which was frustrating. Restaurant was great, staff super all over.

the person at the front was so sweet ! our king room with a view was taken but they offered us 2 queens with a view (we checked it out but didn’t like it much) so then they tried their best and got us a king with a view! the breakfast was also buffet style and it was yummy!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Renaissance for two nights while in town to see a Celtics game. The hotel was beautiful (even during renovations) clean, and walkable within Seaport. The staff at the hotel bar was wonderful as well. The pool was closed due to renovations, but other than that we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

I wasn’t a big fan of the hotel. First of all, they are undergoing renovations. Its location is a little further away from tourist areas. I was a little disappointed with housekeeping, I never received the (2) towels that I called the front desk twice for. I was charged with a water bottle and hope the hotel removes that extra charge (we do not like Evian water). The only thing great that I can say is the shower head pressure was awesome and the bed was very comfortable. Also, the bus transportation is across the hotel so even if the hotel is alittle further away from tourist area it still has uber and bus transportation avail right away. Even thou I put an average on this hotel once the renovations are completed and housekeeping puts the right amount of towels in the room it can be a great hotel to stay in.

Let me first share what I enjoyed about the property- great location, Capiz restaurant food was really good (surpassed my expectations and you can use a $30 hotel credit towards the bill), the wait staff were great and attentive, room was a good size w a side view of the water. However, the woman who checked us in at the front desk was quite rude and, after travelling 12 hours to get there, I didn’t appreciate someone being snippy and acting irritated she had to check us in and answer a few questions I had about the room and the fireworks. It was really offputting, and she didn’t provide any details of the hotel nor give us any water (the water in the room is $5 for a small bottle). Luckily the gentleman next to her chimed in and was more helpful and the morning person was really professional. The hotel also has some construction going on which I wasn’t aware of when I booked the room. So it was kind of underwhelming in the lobby and restaurant and entry way. The pool is very small and the water level was low (there was a sign on the door noting this). The room also had some shabby elements - the floor lamp was almost falling over and a part of the bathroom ceiling was starting to peel off. It was an ok visit but I’m not sure for the price I’d stay at that Marriott again. It’s too bad as the location is really good and elements of the hotel are good.

Property was nice - hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay. The hot tub was closed, unfortunately. The pool is a long narrow lap pool, and there were lots of kids, but there was plenty of seating in the pool area. We were also offered complimentary chowder and soft drinks at a local restaurant as well as commentary passes to the institute of contemporary art, which were both nice bonuses. Food in the hotel restaurant was tasty and staff was helpful and friendly.
