Great location near Newbury St and Prudential

Very nice stay. The hotel staff was very helpful. The room was a bit small but that’s to be expected with boutique hotels. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was small, but very clean. Great location a block away from Newbury Street and the Prudential Center. Right off the highway as well. The valet was a bit expensive though. $51 a night.

Tiny Room

Pros: Nice staff cute room, but a little dark inside.
Cons: need more light or brighter light due to the dark decoration and black furniture
Location: Good location so I can go to around the downtown
Nice staff. Close to the subway and Star Market that what I like. Good location. Queen bed room and bath room are too small for two people.

Great historic hotel and excellent staff

The staff are welcoming and really helpful with all types of recommendations. The historic hotel is within walking distance to many historic sites such as the Freedom Trail, Chinatown, the wharf and to public transportation. The room was newly decorated, spacious and beautiful. The hallways have quirky little angles that add to the character of this hotel. Will definitely recommend to anyone.

Great stay

Went to a wedding in Boston and my wife found this hotel I was a bit apprehensive but it turned out to be great. We had a king room and at check in the front desk person said he searched inventory and moved us to a upgraded corner view room. It rained most of the time we were here so the corner view wasn't as important as the size. Very spacious. I liked the size and layout. We were on the third floor and they had a wide staircase so we could walk or take the elevator. They had a nice reception area that always had coffee in the morning and in the afternoon had a fun hot chocolate and marshmallow layout if it was cold and lemonade if warm. It was a very rainy cold stay and while I normally skip the hot chocolate it was very welcomed. The staff was friendly and helpful and there was several spaces for reading including a room with multiple newspaper. Location was great. Highly recommend it. I guess I have to trust my wife more!

Ideal Location!

Pros: Everything. In particular, the friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: The bathroom could use a working exhaust fan.
Location: Covered above.
I selected the Copley Square Hotel simply because of location, and the fact that it was on the list of hotels available to pair with a flight on Travelocity. I struck gold! The hotel has an eclectic lobby with a bar and lounge area, a small restaurant, a work-out room, and friendly, helpful staff. They have a nightly wine hour, and coffee in the mornings. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable, and I would love to have a shower with that kind of water pressure for home use! We were close to the library, close to bars and restaurants and Newberry Street. I came to visit with my daughter, and she thinks it was the best hotel experience that she can remember!

Beautiful stay in Boston

Pros: Central to many activities in city...could walk everywhere....no need for car! Historic hotel but totally modernized yet keeping old charm....perfect!
Location: Walked to restaurants, parks and historic sites (Fenway Park, Cheers, Trinity Church, etc) and shopping!!!
Spent 4th of July weekend in historic Boston! Hotel exceeded our expectations! Was a little concerned with staying at 2nd oldest hotel in city, but was totally updated, modern and inviting! Received room upgrade for hotel anniversary, staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly! There was so much to see in city we could not see as much of the history of the city as we would have liked....cannot wait to go back!

Greetings Anne, As you discovered, Boston is a city rich in culture, attractions, restaurants and shopping and it’s impossible to explore the entire city in just one weekend, especially one filled with additional celebrations like the Fourth of July fireworks and festivities. It was a treat to have you with us and we’re delighted you enjoyed your experience so much. You’ve shared you’ll be back and we look forward to hosting you again upon that return visit! This hotel did not match my expectations

My husband and I went to Boston for our one year anniversary. The Copley Square Hotel had a lot of good reviews and the pictures online looked great so we decided to stay there. Overall, the hotel was very nice. The service was good and it was very nicely decorated. Unfortunately our room was not what we were expecting. It was very small (and the price was quite high), the TV did not work (we called twice to get it fixed but nothing was done), the bed was uncomfortable, the closet was musty, and there was very little space for us to move around since our luggage had to be on the floor since there were no drawers and we didn't want the clothes to smell musty by putting them in the closet. The hotel is in a great location though, so that is a definite plus. I would give this hotel 3 of 5 stars overall.
