This is a great hotel for solo travelers because they offer a smaller size room with a full-sized bed for a reduced rate. Rooms are clean/modern and have mini-fridges (w/ tiny freezer) and free bottled water. There is a guest kitchen on the first floor with vending machines and free 24/7 coffee/tea. Also on the first floor is a small gym with a treadmill, elliptical, and weights. Service is impeccably professional and the property is very quiet, despite being steps away from the Prudential Center Mall, Copley Plaza, and Boylston/Newbury Streets. This hotel has become my new go-to when I'm coming into the city for events.

The rooms should be regularly checked for damages and cleanliness. The first room we were placed in, the base of the bathtub was filthy and there was scratches/ holes in the walls. The hotel has some major flaws for being 4 stars, which is disappointing because it is in walkable location near transit and has an overall fresh vibe. The only outlet in the room that was not behind big pieces of furniture was in the bathroom, so I had to charge my phone there and couldn't plug in my laptop while using it. The main hallways have a very strong old smoke odor, and I had a strong odor of chlorine come into the bathroom when running the fan. The thermostat was almost un-modifiable: I couldn't turn the fan off or change its speed and the unit was on cooling and couldn't be modified into heating mode.

Conveniently located in a more charming part of Boston (near the Boston Public Library, Newbury St/Back Bay). The building itself is old but don’t let that distract you from how nice the furnishings are

Hotel was clean and in a central location. Room was so small but ok for 1 person for the price.Had to iron a dress and the cord to the iron wasn’t long enough for any plug. No closets or dressers to place your clothes so had to keep them in the suitcase.

The trip was a birthday trip for my sister, and we wanted to try a new hotel for this visit. Unfortunately, it was a bad idea, and we will never again choose to stay at this hotel. The prices are comparable to other hotels in the Back Bay area, but the quality of this hotel is unacceptable. In the first room, she could not get the tv nor the internet to work, both amenities that the hotel lists on the website. She tried to use the phone to call the front desk to get help, but instead found that the phone in the room also didn’t work. The air conditioner in the room rattled nonstop, and the room reeked of mildew and mold. So, she used her cell phone to call the front desk, but the desk assistant hung up on her before she could fully state the issues with the room. She had to go in person to get help with the tv and internet problems. She spoke with Claudia, the desk manager, who was unfriendly and abrasive, to advocate for a new room. This second room had a working tv and hotel phone but the internet worked intermittently. Additionally, the room smelled like cigarette smoke and urine. After this new room was not much better than the previous one, we decided an early checkout would be the best option. There was no apology for the issues that my sister faced in the short time that she stayed at this hotel. Although the stay was scheduled for four nights, we instead decided to move to another hotel in the area for the remainder of her stay. We did not regret that decision.

Disappointed for the high cost.

Tired hotel with very slow single elevator. Bathroom walls were dirty. Not a well appointed room - very little furniture. Amenities listed as having a restaurant - never open and front desk does not know the hours. Turned away from the on-site establishments 3 times as well as being told not sure if they are opened on Sunday.
