The property is decently maintained, and the staff is absolutely friendly, attentive and professional. The property could use some updating as far as the rooms, i.e., lumpy mattress, cracked tiles in bathroom. The bathrooms in the common area are located in the basement and you are introduced to an unpleasant smell when going down the stairs to access them. There were also several homeless people in front of the hotel that made it a bit uncomfortable when entering building later in the evening.

Great location, walkable to Quincy Market, Boston Public Market, NE Aquarium, Boston Tea Party Museum, Children's Museum and the North End. Only negative: Parking is about 2 blocks away in a garage and drop off/unload can be tricky with kids or a large party as there is not an attendant outside.
