Nice hotel close to many attractions

This hotel was for the most part near excellence with just a few a minor things in regards to room cleanliness. Our q-tip jar was not filled but instead had a dirty unwrapped one inside and the tub was not cleaned on our 2nd day there. Outside of those slight issues that I'm sure happen many places I would highly recommend staying here for close proximity to many of Boston's attractions. The price was also great for a midweek stay

Perfect location for seeing Boston

This hotel is perfect. Located close to everything. Easy access to transportation if you don't want to walk. Friendly staff who are very helpful. Very knowledgeable concierge. We had a great 4 day stay.

Standard wifi? In this day & age?

Pros: Staff was friendly.
Was disappointed that in my SUITE, there was no microwave. Also there is only standard wifi - this does not allow streaming. So if you want to keep your kids busy for an hour or two, or to help them get to sleep in a strange bed, do not stay here. You can upgrade to premium access for $12.95/day! I take offense at this price. A couple of bucks - sure. I get it. Here's my money. The HVAC control only controlled the bedroom & did not affect the living room at all. That was so hot. There is so much noise from the hallway - it's as if there is no insulation on that end. There was a pizza box balanced on top of the trash can outside the elevator that was there for 3 days. Booked through Travelocity & typed in "early check in/late check out" under special requests. Hotel didn't have either.

Not-quite luxury in the heart of Boston

Pros: The staff, the location
Cons: The building design. :) Barring that, better quality linens would be nice
Location: Near Boston Commons and in walking distance to most downtown history and attractions.
There are some odd logistics to this hotel but the staff quality makes up for those quirks. The Hyatt Regency is about two blocks from Boston Common but the sole entrance/exit (that I could find) faces the opposite direction, meaning you have to walk around the whole city block just to re-orient yourself. The Boston streets are infamous for their narrowness and meandering path, so take a taxi....once, just to get there and get ready to do some walking during your stay. But back to the odd logistics. The single entrance on the ground level requires you to take an elevator up a couple floors and exit to reach the lobby. Then after checkin and every other time you wish to return to your room, you take a second bank of elevators up. The room was fine, nice bed more firm than soft. climate controls are nice and higher floors have some nice views of the city. The lower floors have a view of...roofs and air conditioning units. So try to get higher if you can. The room was light on amenities, though. The suites lacked power outlets in some rooms almost entirely. The furniture was functional, firm but not truly luxurious, the same with bedding and towels....which were in short supply. You need to request extra for most guests. Check in had some serious snags as the suite I booked was...unavailable? I'm not clear. We got a single room for two nights but the hotel did move us to a suite later at what I think is the standard room rate. Very confusing and discouraging.

Over the hyattt

I have stayed there 4 times in the last 6mounths and i have had them charge me for the room 2 time every time i stay then it takes 9 days to get my money refunded. I realy have had it

Very pleasantly surprised with Hyatt Regency

Location: 15 minute walk to boston common and the center of all.
The location in Chinatown was much closer to things then I expected. The check in was very easy and friendly. The room was modern and beautiful. The bed was Ok but not over the top. The lobby, restaurant and bar were spacious and welcoming.

Great hotel, near everything I wanted to do

Pros: Staff was nice, room was just what I wanted. Great location.
Cons: Room service prices, 1 pizza 2 beers $38?? and a small pizza at that. Pizza was 14, 2 beers 12....so that means I paid 12 bucks for delivery.
Location: Boston Common park was right there, few blocks from South Station. Original Cheers was in walking distance. All kinds of history in walking distance.
We were going to Boston for our 30th anniversary. I wanted a hotel near the Boston Common, and close to South Station as we took Amtrak from Philadelphia. Couldn't ask for more. The people at the front desk were very nice, the room was exactly what I was expecting and kept very clean. The bed was huge, and very comfortable. My husband enjoyed the pool. I enjoyed the view from our 20th floor room. We didn't get a chance to eat in the restaurant but it looked really nice. I will be back.
